Canada Pension Plan Thinks Perceived Social Justice Is More Important Than Securing Your Retirement – July 13, 2019,
Do you ever wonder why the economy doesn’t crash, have you ever really thought about why Barack Obama bailed out Wall Street in 2008? Well, the answer to the question of bailing out banks and large corporations revolves around Pensions. The main reason why the U.S economy crashed in 2007-2008 wasn’t entirely the fault of real estate, the subprime mortgage mess sure was a George Bush created disaster, but the real problem with all of those derivative debt instruments revolved around paying for pensions. Now, what should have happened is the U.S dollar would deflate and retirees should have taken a pay shave on their retirement incomes as the cost of living would have gone down as interest rates went up and lending stagnated for a bit, but instead the Obama administration along with Helicopter Ben made the move to not only print money but grow the Governments debt.
This move has given the world stimulus that’s, unfortunately, being taken for granted by a lot of different entities that can’t seem to comprehend that in real terms the middle class isn’t seeing much in regards to their financial situation getting any better. In Canada, there hasn’t been much wage growth, primarily because we’ve been artificially giving ourselves pay raises by either raising the minimum wage or devaluing the Canadian dollar next to the Greenback.
Our ability to manipulate our currency costs us to have a higher cost of living, it also allows us to grow the size of government. The size of Government in Canada is extremely large, which is why Canada has to make sure it makes good investments to assure the financial stability of people in Canada who without Government assistance would be destitute. Although Conservative Canadians don’t like me writing this, the reality is it wouldn’t surprise me if Justin Trudeau won the upcoming Federal election. Sure I’ll be voting for the People’s Party of Canada, but I try to keep a pulse of what’s going on, and the inconvenient truth is that there are a lot of Canadians who can vote, who will vote for their own personal economic survival.
The problem that Trudeau’s Liberals are creating for themselves which could favor the Conservative Party of Canada is that The CPP Investment Board, officially the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, which by the way is a Canadian Crown corporation established by way of the 1997 Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act, to oversee and invest the funds contributed to and held by the Canada Pension Plan has decided to make social justice a priority.

Now, come on, we know this is a direct order from Justin Trudeau or peoples with ideologies that mirror Justin Trudeau’s. But I have to say, this is not something you play around with. I remind Canadians that we’re extremely lucky to be located where we are, because the truth is if it weren’t for America, those Latin Migrants, many of who are not only violent but can be an extreme strain on your welfare system would be in Canada and there’s no evidence that would suggest that they wouldn’t be eating away at public sector dollars. In America, several U.S States are already having problems paying out pensions, most of these U.S States tend to vote Democrat.
The culture of a welfare state goes something like this “anything but Austerity measures” in easy to understand terms:
Austerity measures are attempts to significantly curtail government spending in an effort to control public-sector debt, particularly when a nation is in jeopardy of defaulting on its bonds.
In Venezuela, to this very day, public sector workers refuse to give up their posts, because if they do they lose everything they were promised by the government. Doug Ford in Ontario in an effort to get public spending under control simply asked the public sector to be more responsible with the money they get and was met with fierce opposition. Had it not been for summer vacations, a time when public school teachers don’t have to work, they’d be complaining right now. I suspect in when school resumes the Doug Ford bashing will be put into high gear in Ontario. I point this out, because limiting your options during investments can put you in a horrible investment position.
The worst part of what the CPP is considering to do with people’s pensions is that this will inevitably make them pay more and take on more risky investments. Making matters worse, where does it end, because the truth of the situation as far as investments go is that almost every company in some way shape or form, namely foreign countries are involved in some form of activity that social justice warrior types will find fault in. America has a right to protect its borders does it not? Well, think about this for a moment.
This is a Leftist ideology that America doesn’t have the right to protect its borders. Noone is forcing adults to go to the USA Border, this is a choice people are making because they feel that they’d have a better life in Capitalists, racist America, than their Democratic Socialist countries of origin. America is doing what it can to prevent invasion in the most humane way their limited resources will allow. Try and remember that part of the Democrat strategy is to not allow Trump to get money to build a wall or give Border Control more money, which in many ways is making the problem worse as the coyotes are using this opportunity to get as many ‘economic migrants’ to cross the border as possible while this opportunity exists.
Now, the company the CPP was investing in, was part of the solution, not the problem, but you see under Trudeau, Virtue signally is very important to the people who vote for him, and let’s be clear, the NDP social democratic types have been hammering on the Liberals about this for years and like I’ve stated many times, Justin Trudeau hijacked the NDP platform. Jagmeet Singh has been forced to go so far left, that he’s now promising free dental care for voters, why? Because Justin Trudeau has basically taken their platform and given it the same old Liberal Corporatist twist.
Unfortunately, as has always been the problem with the NDP, once you start virtue signaling where does it stop? Can it stop? Typically virtue signaling stops when the money runs out, and Austerity measures are introduced. It’s a very dangerous game certain entities in Canada are playing and well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how things play themselves out.
