Turn the other cheek, a change will come, kill them with kindness, kill them with love, kill them with prosperity. People want to be where all the fun is. Canadian leftists never got the memo because their more focused on controlling the narrative, controlling freedom, controlling what people feel, controlling how people behave and controlling the economy.

This type of thinking has unknowingly gripped its claws into millions of Canadian minds. As long as we say the right things and behave the way our leaders tell us to behave the economic outcomes of all people will be equal. This flaw in leftist dogma has exposed some economic insecurities that have been existing in Canada ever since Pierre Trudeau convinced Canadians that his version of Leftism was the best course of action going forward.

Justin Trudeau’s Liberals want to teach Saudi Arabians how to behave

I’ve said this plenty of times since the election of Donald Trump, Canada has a great opportunity to change course now. Unfunded liabilities in Canada are mounting while the government of Canada is getting larger. The public sector is getting larger and larger and I don’t know if you’ve ever worked for the government, but their workers in many ways are often better off than workers in the private sector.

Pensions and retirement benefits are huge topics of discussion if you work in some capacity for the government. If you work for a Crown Corporation like Canada Post it doesn’t matter that Canada Posts financial woes stem from it’s inability to pay for it’s ever-growing class of retired workers, what matters is that these are government jobs, so as long as there’s a private sector that the government can tax from, the public sector workers and their unions will always have an excuse to put pressure on the government to force these government subsidized companies or institutions to take money from the taxpayer in the event the company isn’t profitable.

So how this relates to Saudi Arabia is that there are a lot of bad deals happening in Canada because of regulations and protections. I’ve often talked about the Libertarian Party of Canada getting at least 1 – 3% percent of Canadian voters. Why? Because the Green Party makes up less than 3% of Canadian voters yet they’ve managed to have a huge impact on the economy. How, do you ask? Well, one of the reasons why Oil from Alberta can’t get to the Maritime Provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island is because of the power of the environmentalists, the Green Party, these Green Partiers like the other leftists put in great effort to create regulations that actually prevent Canada from becoming greener.

Every Canadian agrees that we need to take care of our planet, however where we differ is the implementation of how to do it. Out of all the political parties, the Green Party and the NDP have the worst ways to deal with the economics of green energy. However equally to blame or the Conservatives and the Liberals whose messages often aren’t clear, being that both parties are beholden to the corporate donors.

From a Libertarian standpoint cleaner air and water are easy fixes, especially now that awareness is alive and well. That solution to these energy problems is to open the market up to the competition. If not a pipeline another means of exporting Albertan oil to the Maritimes, but then again there’s a problem with Albertan thinking. The reason why I’ve always had a problem with Alberta is that they don’t fight hard enough, they’re more happy with getting the oil out of the ground and shipping it out of the country, which I’ve always thought was a silly process.

In my opinion, Alberta should have been oil independent years ago, by that I mean especially in a high Oil environment Alberta should have already been using only Albertan oil, this type of message would have been loud clear for other provinces that Canada doesn’t need foreign made oil. Instead, in Canada unlike in Norway, there is no clear cut way on how to deal with the energy sector. Which is something Saudi Arabia obviously notices, Canada has been a major player in oil for a very long time, but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why out energy market is so badly run.

There is no clear direction for Canada’s energy economy and one of the mistakes by Trudeau’s Liberals was assuming that their social justice agenda would trump economics. Canada has a very high regulatory environment, Europe also has a very high regulatory environment, what that means is less and fewer people can join the game, meaning less and less competition, which also means a lot more risk which ultimately means a lot more rewards for those already on the very top.

Now, of course, innovation is always a fast method to join the uber-rich but the rest of society gets stuck in the middle and with all of these regulations even the middle is getting smaller especially in Canada is that our Private Sector continues to shrink in size and our Public Sector continues to grow in size. The major problem with a growing public sector is that they imagine that their paychecks should be automatic. I work for the government so no matter what as long as I show up for work I should be taken care of for life.

Once the private sector becomes too small to pay for all the public sector workers, it’s at this point that a society begins to encounter problem after problem. How often do you hear of Public servants threatening to strike? These workers are of the belief that no matter they should be paid. This leads to the financial crisis which can’t be solved. Argentina is the perfect example of what happens when a public sector gets too large. No matter how many different currencies Argentina creates they wind up with the same problem which is Public servants make up 35% of Argentina’s total workforce. There is no way for a country to be prosperous if 35% of the people demand wages from the government.

Public workers, drafters of regulations don’t have to worry about being competitive, in their minds competition is nothing more than a silly game that they’re protected from. when you work for the government you rarely hear about company earnings, which obviously results in you not caring about private sector, so in actuality a politician can tell a public service worker that they’re going to raise taxes on the rich and the public service worker or the left-leaning thinker will think that’s a good thing, not realising that for 1 being rich is subjective, because in order for someone to be classified as rich the government has to assign rich people an income that exceeds a particular threshold. Now imagine that threshold is $200,000 Canadian dollars and the now crowned rich person makes $200,001 Canadian dollars but this rich person has 6 children, a housewife and mortgage, and bunch of other loans and to add to this rich person is an increase in their taxes, what do you think will happen?

will this borderline rich person work more or work less, furthermore will the very rich Canadians remain in Canada or will they move their capital elsewhere? As this problem worsens what do you think will happen to the security of those public service jobs? This is what’s not being discussed with Trudeau’s government, they’re trying to push a social justice agenda while Canada’s economy is not secure. There are a lot of debts in Canada and now that Justin picked a fight, Saudi Arabia, Canada is going to have to either find more trading partners or find a way to become more energy independent. With our already high standard of regulations, Justin’s Liberals just made the energy sector in Canada even more complicated.
