Is the Canadian economy booming the way StatsCan says it is? Why the secrecy? Canada’s undeniable cost of living problems – June 3, 2019,
You can’t deny the obvious, month after month, the Pro-Trudeau, Pro-Leftist mainstream media outlets continuously release data that is not only questionable but inconsistent. The article below is a prime example of a post with a header that makes absolutely no sense and what’s worse when you read the article you come out more confused than you have if you simply read the title.
Despite a strong economy, cost of living still top of mind for Canadians – CBC
A strong economy? By my standards, a strong economy wouldn’t have people on Welfare, by my standards a strong economy wouldn’t have absurdly low-interest rates and a propped up housing market that makes the cost of living in my respects unaffordable for a large segment of Canada’s income taxpayers. A strong economy wouldn’t need to expand the CMHC. Because the housing market in Canada isn’t allowed to remain stagnant for a prolonged period of time, in fears it might cause a crash the Federal Government introduced in the federal Budget proposed a series of incentives, one being the First-Time Home Buyers Incentive (FTHBI). Now, why would the Federal Government need to stimulate the real estate sector if all these FULL-TIME jobs were being created? Doesn’t that sound a bit odd?
A strong economy by my standards doesn’t consist of Canadians being in historic levels of debt, it’s not even to say that Canadians are paying a huge chunk of this debt off? Now I want you to notice that all the links I point too in this post come from the Business section of the CBC, it’s not even to say one section is politics and the other is business, no every single article I point to in this post come from the State-owned broadcaster in Canada, the Crown Corporation known as the CBC.
Statistics Canada says household debt grew faster than income in fourth-quarter – CBC
Notice, the inconsistencies? Recently the CBC took a shot at the Post Millenial, who the CBC want to frame as biased towards the Centre Right? Well, how do you justify a title like this? “Despite a strong economy, cost of living still top of mind for Canadians“, also what irritates me about that article is the vagueness and their unwillingness to at least point readers to the exact data so we can at the very least see where these supposed jobs are coming from, because I believe a month earlier we were told there was a huge surge in self-employed individuals, which is understandable with the creation of Uber, Lift, Airbnb etc, but all of sudden magically these numbers come out that are hard to verify.
The Canadian economy added 27,000 jobs in May, and in April, a stunning 106,500 jobs were added. In all, nearly half a million jobs were added over the past 12 months.
What is sprinkled into the CBC article is the following:
The Conference Board of Canada recently released a report highlighting the need for more immigration.
Which points to The Conference Board of Canada and their article titled: Can’t Go it Alone: Immigration Is Key to Canada’s Growth Strategy, so you can see the Leftist direction their trying to push the reader into, being that they don’t provide the exact StatsCan pages that would explain to us where we can find these jobs are coming from.
In the interest of fairness is Canada doing better than other countries? Of course, we are, we’re bordered with the United States, Mexico does a lot better than most Latin countries because it too borders with the United States, humans gravitate to Free enterprise environments, why people like me want to know the data is because it gives us a glimpse into how many of these jobs are actual private sector jobs and how many of them are Crown Corporations, we want to know what’s happening to our manufacturing sectors, we want to know if we’re becoming a service sector economy, as Canadians we have a right to know.
Service sector economies can survive, however, service sector economies are heavily reliant on imports because a service sector economy equates to us as Canadians not manufacturing as many stuff as we used to, therefore, greater attention must be paid to the governance of this nation because if we ever have a currency crisis if there’s ever an economic downturn if interest rates are ever normalized with the size of our government it will be extremely hard for us as a country to move forward without austerity measures. If the plan is to bring economic migrants or flood the nation with immigrants if these immigrants can only work in the services sectors, because most of our manufacturing jobs have gone, we have to make sure that we plan for this.
This is not a game, we can’t play politic like this, it’s not a laughing matter. As regulations increase for social justice causes, employers are more likely to hire less, most of the job vacancies in Canada exist because of regulations, there are certain jobs that Private Sectors employers have to be very specific about when hiring because lawsuits are expensive and any negative perception of a job creator could cost that job creator all of its customers. Unlike Government, Private Companies can’t print money at the expense of voters/shareholders, no if a company gets negative press, all of its investors might dump their shares in a company, that’s how this stuff works, and that’s why its’ important that a government-subsidized state media news outlet take the time to give we readers the good, the bad and the ugly with the statistics to back up their arguments.
The CBC should be ashamed of themselves.
Interesting times ahead!
