What Canadians Know as Equalization Payments could cost Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats the 2020 election – October 16, 2020
Nancy Pelosi’s demand that solvent U.S States pay the bills of insolvent U.S States might cost Joe Biden the Federal election. In Canada, we call that equalization payments, if Alberta has a surplus of money earned, the Albertan taxpayer is forced to pay for the political and provincial fiscal mismanagement of Quebec.
Well, love him or hate him, Trump’s loud mouth has caught the ear of most Democrat voters, and being that popular vote means little nothing in U.s politics, the knowledgable U.S Democrat supporter is well aware that Nancy Pelosi is trying to get a deal that will transfer money from the federal government into her State of California’s bankrupt pension pyramid scheme.
As a Conservative myself I’m no fan of the Federal Government sending out checks in the mail, but a lot of Democrat voters believe in redistribution, and this is why Wolf Blitzer was forced to pressure House Speaker Nancy Pelosi not answering the question as to why she’s delaying checks from being sent out.

Wolf Blitzer did not want to do what he did in the middle of an election, CNN clearly wants Joe Biden to win, the problem is most CNN viewers desperately need a check and unfortunately for Left-wing news media, they’re blasting Donald Trump headlines 24/7 and Trump has said repeatedly that he’d like to send out checks.
Because Trump has already sent out checks, the U.S voter has no reason not to believe he won’t do it again and therefore they’re hounding CNN to ask Nancy Pelosi what’s the delay? Well, for Canadians the delay is a result of equalization payments.
Despite what some might think, not all Democrat-run States are insolvent, some people in small-town America do vote for the Democrats, however, many Democrat voters believe in balancing a checkbook, meaning that if the State of California, the STATE of Illinois, or the State of New York can’t pay their bills the State of Wisconsin as an example does not want to be forced to pay for those bankrupt States.
In Canada, Equalization payments is a forgone conclusion, Ontario and Quebec and most of Eastern Canada which can basically vote for the economic enslavement of Western Canada continues to go further left politically, because equalization payments which come from the responsible Canadian provinces, make up the deficit of the wasteful spending eastern Canadians.
If you’re living in eastern Canada and you love your standard of giving, well, the reality of the matter is had it not been for equalization/transfer payments via Western Canada, Eastern Canada would be beyond bankrupt and beyond investable. Had it not been for transfer payments, chances are elections in Canada would be far more competitive, because when socialism has a cost that taxpayers feel immediately, tax-payers/voters react to it.
When Stephen Harper cut federal taxes, the then provincial Liberals led by Kathleen Wynne found a way to raise them again. Well because Ontarians for a brief period felt the feeling of lower taxes and lower prices, when Kathleen Wynne raised taxes higher, Ontario immediately began hating her, Kathleen Wynne then also raised the minimum wage which made the cost of living even higher and this is what led to Doug Ford becoming Premier of Ontario today.
Well, although some Democrat voters are clueless about how the economy runs, most Democrat voters are well aware that transfer/equalization payments are wrong. Furthermore, most Democrats who understand politics, know and understand that if equalization payments somehow become a thing, the Republicans are going to have a justifiable and constitutional reason to curb spending.
Already Trump is being blocked by his own party to spend money. Being that Trump has secured 2 Right-leaning federal judges, the Republicans feel better in the event Trump loses the 2020 election. The political machine just like the currency is cutthroat, however, the problem I see in Canada’s future is a cash-flow crisis because our political system doesn’t have the sorts of checks and balances America has.
Now, I’m not calling the American system perfect by any means, but in America, they fight back against Universal Health Care, they fight back against banning guns from citizens, they fight back against abortion, they fight back against equalization payments, and they fight back against government tyranny.
The coming economic cash-flow crisis that Canada will experience is going to catch a lot of Canadians by surprise, because the reality is that Western Canada has been carrying the entire nation and the tax collection in Western Canada will be shrinking in the years head all the while Trudeau is spending like a drunken sailor, with anticipation that prior revenues will return.
When the private sector shrinks and the public sector doesn’t and the country and it’s private citizens are in record levels of debt, this is a cash-flow crisis. Now, at least in America, they export a lot of their public sector debt to other nations, Canada not so much and not on the level America does it.
My personal suspicions are that Mitch McConnell and the Republican Party change their spendthrift behavior in 2021 regardless of who is president because Americans love their country and welfare for all has never worked in human history and what this tells me is that Canada would be wise to get its fiscal house in order as soon as possible.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell appeared to put an end to any pre-election prospects for President Donald Trump’s latest big stimulus proposal on Thursday, saying he had no plans to bring to the floor any package at $1.8 trillion or above.
Interesting times ahead!
