If ever there was a time to be in the trades, now is it. If your employer just figured out that you as his/her employer can work from home, employee beware, not only might you have to take a pays have you might lose your job to new software and/or you might lose your job to a foreigner.

Depending on what your job is, your job security could be at risk if working from home is the new norm. I kept hearing about all of these self-driving cars and trucks taking over, well my dear reader, self-driving or self-flying anything requires maintenance, machines n their own can’t maintenance machines, humans do maintenance on machines and as machines become more complicated, smarter humans will have to fix these machines.

If you’re simply working from home, I can tell you from personal experience that software and foreign employees have already replaced a lot of domestic workers. For myself, it’s not even about paying an employee, it’s about how reliable is the employee, Canadians are very entitled and often work less and make more demands than even people in other developed nations.

Working from home in this woke era is going to terrify employers out of hiring domestic workers and the reality is there’s nothing the Canadian government can do about it. Personally I understand why the socialists are making a giant push to get power back and get control of the narrative because the Internet is rendering them useless.

I can now go an entire year without even speaking to a socialist. People who grow up entitled and “Progressive” don’t know it yet, but they’re actually in the way of progress. Nobody cares anymore how woke you are, nobody cares about your self inflicted financial problems, you either understand that the government is in the way of progress or you don’t, if you don’t understand this, you will eventually fall victim to a political campaign that will enslave you and your children.

The government can’t save a lot of you from the global changes to the world that are on their way. What’s going to hit a lot of people by surprise is the cost of living, as more and more people who actually do the physical labour in society start to demand more money for the work they do.

Working from home is a cut-throat business, there’s usually only one Avon lady in the neighborhood, one or two successful insurance agents, real estate agents, etc. Working from home isn’t anything new, but it’s different and more competitive than most people outside of the government understand. Furthermore just because you’re working from home doesn’t mean that you’re making any real money!

A cut in salary should be least of your concerns if you’re employer is paying you to work from home! I remind you that I’ve been writing about working from home since around 2007, and based on my research only 2 out every 100 (2%) make it!
