The Candace Owens Show: Steve Bannon (the Populist) Vs. Austrian Economics (Conservatives) – August 4, 2019,
A great Interview below with Steve Bannon where they two go back and forth with Populism and Political Conservativism. Personally, I’m not populous, I’m a firm believer in changing the culture and in the subject of America, returning as close to the Constitution as realistically possible in the modern era. For myself, if the culture of America is unable to comprehend or appreciate that improving the human standard of living is more important than collectivist greed than the nation of America will always fall victim to Politicians asking voters to give up their individual freedoms and Liberties for a collective good.
Populism appeals to Collectivists and I understand that in many ways Populism can help some to embrace Volunteeristic thoughts, however, Populism also abides by many of the same rules as Socialism and other Collectivist ideologies. I myself can’t deny the impact Trump has had on Politics, but the fear most Republicans and Conservatives must share is what to do when Donald Trump is gone? When I listen to most Populists, they seem to have a hard time comprehending how their bully tactics in many ways mimic the Political Left.
A large number of Trump supporters aren’t Conservatives, many are bipartisan who are riding the Trump Train, this means that without Trump many will either walk away from politics or they may join the Democrats if the Democrats find a way to appeal to them. For a person like me, knowing what I know about economics, morally I could never vote for a Leftist ever again. The Liberals for me, lost their value after they separated Church from State. The Separation of Church from State is why Liberals have a leg to stand on because even as a Believer in God, I think it’s wrong to force or compel a person to join a religion. In the modern era, I’ve spoken to many Muslims who would love to break free from the shackles of the Muslim faith, but they’re scared of what would happen to them if they did.
The modern Liberal, the modern Leftist is still afraid to attack Islam, primarily because getting the Muslim vote is extremely important to their survival, so what’s given rise to populism is the political Left flip-flopping on issues. This flip-flopping on religion and secular views have given rise to the radical Left because remember, if you’re going to protect illegal immigrants while at the same time protect the LGBTQI communities under the same policies, as a Leftist you have to put both groups into protected political classes.
As many people know a large number of Islamic Conservative Extremists are against Homo-sexuals as is the case with many Christian-Conservatives, the difference on the Political Right is that the Republicans or the Western Political Conservatives all over the world are refusing to play politics with Religion. The Political Right is treating all religious faiths as Collective Faiths without any special political perks, whereas the Democrats and modern-day Liberals are politicizing Religion to achieve political ends. You’re a collective minority the Democrat/Liberals will you’ll grant you special Rights and Political Protection if you vote Liberal/Democrat.
This is a very seductive appeal for Muslims and the LGBTQ community. Social engineering via public education is very appealing to the young, who are now being indoctrinated at an early age to give particular collective groups special social advantages. So if you’ve been taught as a White Kid that, Gays, Blacks, Muslims, and Immigrants should be granted special privileges over everyone else because of systematic oppression, when the child grows to voting age adulthood and they’re in student loan debt and unable to get ahead economically in life, the person regardless of their race will be susceptible to becoming a Leftist-Socialist.
Can years of brainwashing come to end via a Populist Political message? I personally don’t think so, however, Steve Bannon gives a compelling argument to the source of his beliefs on the Candace Owens show. For someone such as myself, I agree with Ron Paul, you have to change culture, recently Rand Paul was attacked for trying to block a bill to renew the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund, this is the reality of what will happen to you if you try to change the culture. This for me is why many Conservatives prefer Populism and why we also have Neo-Conservatives. Playing politics or using Military force as a means to keep the American dream alive appeals to a lot of people, these types make up the bulk of the modern Republican party.
My answer to changing this is for Individualists or people who believe in Individualism to do your best to educate people. That’s all we have, otherwise, the Collectivist will win eventually and American society will end up like Venezuela. Once they take away your freedom of speech, something that’s already happened in place like the U.K and Canada, it’s only a matter of time until the people are ruled by a monarch. Although I’m a fan of Singapore’s economic system, their social structure is not something I’d want to be part of. Socialism should be debunked because the entire population is smarter than the socialists are, not because Trumps is more popular. Socialism requires the accumulation of private-sector capital if it didn’t countries with socialist policies would mimic the fictional nation of Wakanda, using their commodities to enrich their government and fuel economic innovation.
When a socialist person says raise the minimum wage, there should be a voice of reason that says that small businesses who in many ways are poor and middle class themselves will be hurt by this minimum wage government decree, when another politician says $1000 per month for every, there should be a voice of reason that asks about inflation or deflation, if the amount of children a person has plays a role UBI, if immigration plays a role, if $1000 per month will replace all the other welfares indefinitely?
Furthermore, if a person makes a few dollars over the threshold to Qualify for UBI, will that person miss out? Because as we all know with most government programs if there are a loopholes people will take advantage of them. The loophole for minimum wage is fewer hours and hiring fewer people, the obvious loophole for UBI will be the qualification standards. When the government made drugs illegal people found ways around the system and this didn’t only inflate the price for illegal drugs it also became a financial and social burden on society. Many will argue that if America didn’t have such a generous welfare state people wouldn’t be trying to go there illegally.
Once people start to question the governments’ authority, this is typically how authoritarian governments appear. If I can’t pursue profits, why do I need a government? Isn’t the government in the way of my progress in life if the government isn’t protecting my God-given right to make a profit for my labor? If a person wants to live a life that doesn’t pursue profits, that’s fine, but that person shouldn’t be in the way of people who do want to pursue profits.
In a true capitalist system that allows financial and social deflation in an economy, if there are evil capitalists at play, the people can crash the economy, people can bankrupt a store, people can even bankrupt the oil sector, why this stuff doesn’t happen is revolves around the government picking economic and social winners.
Prior to governments monopolizing money, people could even create money out of anything, in fact, people can still barter their way to wealth, however, because the popular opinion in culture is that there’s only a specific government-approved way to live life, the popular culture of society assumes
via PARTISAN government decree, infinite wealth can be created, for a particular class of people. Socialism or collectivism in general often ends with hyper-inflation, meaning minimum wages and Universal Basic incomes are destroyed once the money is debased.
Populism can’t stop money debasement, culture on the other hand can. Great interview on The Candace Owens Show with Steve Bannon, however, I side with Candace Owens and Prager U, although it appears to me that Steve was trying to get Candace Owens to consider being a politician, it’s important that Candace Owens understands that she will run into the exact same problems that Rand Paul faces frequently.
Bleeding heart Liberals, will frame you as a bigot, greedy, evil, Hitler and whatever name they can throw at you and while this is happening, chances are that even your supporters will be quiet on the issue because at the end of the day everyone is looking out for their own self-interests and if they can avoid getting involved in a topic that might complicate their lives, even those who support you in spirit won’t support you publically.
I think the actual details of the Story of Jesus Christ often go ignored. When Jesus was being Crucified, the people Jesus helped, and even the people Jesus fought to protect remained silent, what has Jesus done for me lately, is what the people of that era probably argued in their own minds. Jesus had sound arguments, but they weren’t popular at the time, Jesus wasn’t a populist and because he wasn’t his ideas were only fully embraced after his flesh was lifeless.
Hopefully, in time the truth will be spread and humans can live in harmony.
