CBC Hit Piece: Maxime Bernier’s false claim about Canada’s ‘subsidized’ immigrants Reviewed – July 26, 2019,
So this article is in response to the following post written by Jonathon Gatehouse of the CBC News. It’s extremely important to remember that when referring to data that found immigrants were responsible for two-thirds of all national employment gains in 2016-17, that during this period of time Trudeau was subsiding job growth. In case people forget we’re running a deficit and Trudeau has been INTENTIONALLY growing that deficit.
Now, public sector jobs don’t count has helping the country, the public sector is a consumer of the wealth generated from the Private Sector. If the Private Sector doesn’t bring capital into the country the public sector can only inflate the Canadian dollar. If as an example Toyota stops making cars in Ontario income taxes that otherwise won’t exist wouldn’t get paid, the money Toyota gets from selling cars and parts to foreign countries wouldn’t come into the Canadian economy, the sales and other taxes, Toyota employees pay from the money they receive from their Toyota Salary wouldn’t allow the Government of Canada to collect taxes it uses to pay government employees as well as Welfare for Canadian immigrants.
Now, public servants also have to manage and assist most immigrants in getting assimilated into Canadian society, a lot of immigrants don’t speak English or French and require the Pubic Sector to either subsidize private companies or subsidize the education of immigrants. This isn’t even something you can debate. The Toronto mayor recently has been housing economic migrants who were fleeing the tyranny of the United States of America. Now, t shine a brighter light on economic issues related to immigrant job growth consider this.
Since Trudeau got into power most of the job growth has come from the public sector (which includes crown corporations) as well as the service sectors. Jonathon Gatehouse actually confirms Maxime Bernier’s claims to be the truth. But you’d have to know the numbers and follow the Canadian economy under Trudeau to know where a lot of these job gains are come from. If Canadians remember a few months ago a report came out about Self Employment job growth, also known as Salaried jobs growth dominated job growth news.
Canada’s job quality fell while self-employment rose in 2015 – TheGlobeandMail.com
In an article written in May 2016 the following was stated:
“Self-employment is not a great sign,” said David Watt, chief economist with HSBC Bank Canada.
Now, one area that is definitely dominated by immigrants in Toronto is finance, real estate, insurance, and leasing. Now in that very same article, it states the following:
The private sector created 26,000 new jobs last year, reflecting the country’s slow economic growth.
This isn’t a secret and I think it wise people consider actually reading the information on the StatsCan website below
The Canadian Immigrant Labour Market: Recent Trends from 2006 to 2017 – CBC
To justify their excuse not to raise interest rates, The Crown Corporation known as the BoC has to explain their reasoning for keeping interest rates so low in Canada, the following was stated as it relates to jobs.
Other goods-producing sectors, such as manufacturing and agriculture, are also becoming less prominent employers.
Now again I’ll stick with the BoC’s justification for not raising interest rates when asked the following: Why aren’t labour shortages driving up wages? the answer given was the following:
Now, again if we’re to believe this is true, why are the manufacturing and agriculture employers leaving Canada? Isn’t this confirming the claim that a large number of immigrants are being subsidized? Canada doesn’t need more Salespeople.
Driving taxis, selling real estate, selling insurance, mortgage brokering, Uber, Lyft, Airbnb these self-employed jobs aren’t helping Canada, they’re not even innovative entrepreneurship titles. These service sector careers, in many ways, are protected by the government. When Uber came to Canada the Taxi Cab lobby went to the government for protection.
Real Estate Agents get threatened by the internet rendering them useless, so the Real estate Lobby goes to the Government for competition protection. Mortgage Brokers and Insurance agents are salespeople, let’s be honest about it, they’re salespeople who are regulated by FSCO in Ontario, which actually gives them government protection also. No, offense to the people in these careers but Canada would be fine without the government regulating them.
The argument for mass migration often revolves around jobs, however, enough of the migrants arriving in Canada are opting not to do the jobs necessary to grow our economy. Furthermore, the economic atmosphere created by Justin Trudeau’s Liberals so far hasn’t attracted enough of those high paying tech jobs to at the very least make Canada a hub for innovations and innovative investments. Trudeau’s Green policies and Carbon tax schemes, not even making Canada home from Solar and Wind manufacturing?
As per usual the CBC releases another hit piece on Maxime Bernier, I advise the reader to look up the data for themselves. If migrants were growing the economy, Trudeau wouldn’t need to run a deficit and the Bank of Canada wouldn’t be able to justify keeping interest rates so low. The CBC is a Crown Corporation that has the most to lose when Maxime Bernier becomes Prime minister in 2023. So expect them to be on the attack this election and every other Canadian election moving forward.
The Labour Force Survey (LFS) is typically where I get a better view of things, also, of course, I do my eye test, because I’m working with the community, there are commonalities I see in Toronto, that allow me to interpret the information for myself.
Obviously, the CBC wants to keep their monopoly of power, the CMHC, the BoC, the Canadian Dairy Commission(CDC) and the CBC remember all of these entities are State-owned Crown Corporations and their very existence relies heavily on them controlling the narrative. They have to consistently justify their existence to us. Petro Canada was once a Crown Corporation before it was sold off. Crown Corporations can be sold and the CBC knows this, now if the CBC became private, it would have to actual non-biased reporting.
You’ll notice that the private media in Canada is having a difficult time adjusting to the internet because they’re accustomed to controlling the narratives, well in the event they lose their monopoly of power to bully, they’d actually have to do in-depth research prior to making a post. In a free society, information can be interpreted differently by each individual and doing actual unbiased reporting is a very difficult task, because it involves the writer understand an argument from more than one angle. A large chunk of Leftist writers has a difficult time understanding the world from a way they weren’t taught in school.
As an Example, Keynesian and Austrian economics have similarities and major differences, to make an argument for Austrian economics, leaves Keynesian Economic thinkers to find 1 sided justifications for government involvement in the monetary system, Keynesians discredit Austrian economic thinkers primarily by using biased compassion as their reasoning, referring to common sense Austrian economics as a relic of the past fuels the propaganda Keynesian machine. In shot if you’re a Maxime Bernier supporter expect the hit pieces to continue, these organizations, after all, are simply protecting their livelihoods!
Although Maxime Bernier stated
“Canadians are a compassionate people and we should be. But at what cost? Are Canadians happy to subsidize 74 per cent of our current immigrants?”
The truth is, the number is probably even larger, if you consumed more than you put in, you’re being subsidized, Family reunification often leads to healthcare-related problems, I can’t speak for other provinces, but consider visiting a Toronto hospital, type ESL in Google, better yet consider visiting this Government page Find free newcomer services near you (type “Find free newcomer services near you” in Google if you don’t want to click my link). Notice they even use the word FREE, as if everyone that’s part of the process is volunteering their time without compensation. Even the leased buildings with heating and air conditions 100% Free. it’s silly that CBC would even bother writing the article below, but it is what it is. #PPC2023
