Malaysian Police Nationalize Bitcoin mining rigs worth $1.3 million and instead of selling them they destroy them – July 19, 2021,
The stupidity of Government is on full display in the video below. So, sure okay, the Malaysian government thinks Bitcoin mining is a waste of electricity, so they ban it or nationalize it or whatever, but here goes the dumb part of the story, Malaysia isn’t exactly a rich country and Bitcoin isn’t illegal everywhere, now that the government has nationalized that property why not sell it and feed a few poor people? No, instead they make a public display that nobody cares about.
Camera crew, heavy-duty equipment, a waste of public sector resources on several fronts. I mean seriously is anyone dumb enough to think that a big government is a good idea? There’s copper in those machines, there are all sorts of useful things in those machines that could at the very least be recycled, the government is so wasteful EVERYWHERE! It’s not even drugs, they’re freaking machines, with useful parts, that could even be repurposed, the stupidity of the Government is beyond comprehension.
