“Death to the dictator.” – Iranian oil workers go on strike – The annual inflation rate in Iran slowed to 52.2 percent in August 2022 – October 11, 2022,

Getting rid of a dictator in your country is not easy; if you’re part of the movement to bring down a dictator or a totalitarian government, you’d better be willing to risk your life and your livelihood to do it because chances are you’re going to lose both. Dictators and totalitarians, what they do is they attempt to control EVERY single aspect of your life; they put spies everywhere in hopes they’ll thwart an uprising before it grows.

It’s for this reason that lovers of liberty and freedom are relentless when it comes to bashing the growth of government. This isn’t a game; once government controls every aspect of your life, they will make your life a living hell. Currently, in Iran, a very important sector has decided to go on strike, now I’m not sure if the strike is due to consumer price inflation or the “moral police” killing of the woman, or maybe a combination of a bunch of different factors, but consumer price inflation as I like to point out is DEFLATIONARY to the economy and its very destructive.

Iran oil workers go on strike | TheHill

This was the first time anti-government protests around the country have spread into the critical oil sector; however, retail outlets and small businesses have shut down their operations in support of the ongoing protests.

Tensions between Iranian citizens and authorities have escalated amid protests initially sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini, which have expanded into calls for an end to state violence and discrimination toward women, as well as calls for regime change.

Zimbabwe and Venezuela, those respective countries also run by dictators, have yet to recover from hyperinflation; price discovery is extremely problematic once the currency is destroyed; when people get used to rampant consumer price inflation, people will dump their currency the moment they get it. But the worst part of consumer price inflation is the PRICE OF LABOR because people who work, namely skilled labor, can find themselves working for FREE if the value of the currency keeps falling.

So when I read that Iranian people working in their oil patch are going on strike, I’m not sure what to make of that. Sanctions restrict the Iranian regime from engaging in trade, which also equates to fewer countries wanting to hoard the Iranian Rial. This tends to equate to people seeking alternatives to government currencies. However, we’ve seen instances in which governments are able to hold onto power even amid rampant consumer price inflation.

With that said, Iran could be different, Persia has a rich history, but it’s also a nation of immigrants; at one point in history, Iran was the place to immigrate to, but it wasn’t until a far Left theocratic government took over that Iran became what it is today. There are still people in Iran that remember better times, which is similar to Rhodesia and Venezuela, but getting rid of a DICTATOR is not easy.

One could imagine the Iranian government right now is hoping the protestors will run out of energy and the complacent will convince the protestors to end the protests, but a strike in the oil sector is interesting because, in Venezuela, it’s one of the reasons they have so many problems with their petroleum industry.

Although this didn’t make mainstream news, at one point, Venezuelan petroleum workers went on a HUNGER strike because Venezuela’s BIG GOVERNMENT assumed printing currency would solve all problems. Because of this stupid Left-wing ideology, a lot of CRITICAL infrastructures in Venezuela were not properly maintained, meaning in many ways, the Venezuelan government is a PAPER TIGER(appears to be powerful or threatening, but is actually ineffectual and unable to withstand challenge.).

Now, for the Venezuelan people, it’s hard for them to IMAGINE toppling their government, which is the whole idea of a totalitarian government APPEARING stronger than it really is, but the truth of the situation appears to be the Venezuelan people’s fear is what might REPLACE their current totalitarian government.

That’s usually the fear of the people; they fear that replacing their current government might be something far worse, and so they settle. A wife being abused might accept the abuse because she fears far worse abuse if she leaves the abusive spouse. One of the reasons I write so much is to allow the reader to IMAGINE life without a Big Government.

As a Canadian, I can tell you that a lot of Canadian people have a hard time IMAGINING a world without a BIG GOVERNMENT. When people hear voices complaining about a big government the first thing that most Canadians think to themselves is “Anarchy”. They become terrified that they’ll lose what they currently have if they embrace ideas that are presently ALIEN to them.

So this is why as an example, the people of Iran might be afraid to topple their totalitarian regime; this is why instead of fighting a big government, most people FLEE their tyrannical government while they still can. This is why a lot of people FEAR the thought of SECESSION. People tend to FEAR change. and it’s why a Paper Tiger can appear to be more powerful than it is.

Most people have a mind of POVERTY, by that, I mean when I say to most people that poverty starts in the mind, they’ll REJECT that notion; they’ll argue that poverty is cause because they don’t have enough RESOURCES but imagine you have all the resources of a rich person, but you don’t know how to use those resources? Doesn’t that mean that poverty starts in the mind? I’ll leave you to figure that one out.

The only thing stopping the Iranian people from toppling their totalitarian government is the fear of the unknown, the fear of the possibility that an even more tyrannical government could be waiting for them or the fear of anarchy. When you love liberty and freedom, you comprehend that the world is ALWAYS in a state of anarchy; Paper tigers are EVERYWHERE, making you imagine they’re more powerful than they really are.

In most western societies, most people are NOT criminals, so the people who are criminals often figure out LOOPHOLES in the criminal system. This means that we’re still in a state of anarchy, most totalitarian regimes are POOR of mind, and the people would be better off abandoning these oppressive regimes; why don’t they? Because of the fear of the unknown, the inability to imagine or conceive LIBERTY and Freedom, which by the way, is a Judeo-Christian belief.

Atheists, Islamists, Hindus, Buddhists, and even Catholics have a hard time embracing Liberty and Freedom WITHOUT a big government. Most people can only imagine a world in which a monarchy, a Pope, an Imam, a Prime Minister, or a President is in charge. GOD, the thought of a sky daddy, as Bill Maer calls it, alludes to the small imaginations of people who want a SINGLE human or a few groups of humans to DEFINE what or who God is.

There’s a reason why Christians, as an example, have several different types of churches; it’s because Christianity doesn’t CONFINE believers in Christs to ONE group of religious collectivists. In Islam, many people are aware of Shia and Sunni; if you believe in the prophet, you’re usually one or the other, which doesn’t allow Liberty of thought for people who may just want to be Muslim and follow the teachings of the Quran. Instead, believers in Islam feel forced to obey Islamic individuals in leadership roles who interpret the Quran for them.

What separates Christians is that everything is VOLUNTARY, anyone can start their own church, and yes, this does open the floodgates for FALSE prophets in Christianity, but it also allows for CONSTANT debate. Even Atheists can’t engage in debate because an Atheist has CONCLUDED that there is no God, so to argue that there is a God is a NON-STARTER for an Athiest.

An agnostic is more of a skeptic, whereas the Athiest is CERTAIN there is no god, which is why it’s hard to argue that an Athiest has a MORAL compass because if there is no God, I could argue that in order to maintain order an Anthiest has to fight for a BIG GOVERNMENT. Which, from my vantage point, is very similar to a theocratic government that seeks to make VOLUNTEERISM illegal!

The Iranian people can topple their government if they want to, but they will also need to have the strength to build something better! The people of Iran will need to be more than just protestors. They must also be VISIONARIES!
