Ontario Line subway price tag balloons to $27.2B, a hike of billions of dollars
Ontarians have been voting for Liberals for a long time, not just federally and provincially, but also in municipalities, and it’s for this reason that Doug Ford is stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Liberal far left ACTIVIST judges, lawyers, union politicians, they’re all over Ontario and especially Toronto, comfortably, raising the operating costs for EVERYTHING.
When you’re talking about subway, you’re talking about unions related jobs, all of which have their wages tied to inflation. Now, when you talk about inflation, that’s Justin Trudeau’s fault, Justin Trudeau didn’t only create a carbon TAX, he’s also changed the tax code, to the point it’s unprofitable to run an Airbnb business in Canada.
If Canada were on a GOLD STANDARD, meaning that our Federal government couldn’t simply borrow money, instead of inflationary pricing the we’d have DEFLATIONARY pricing, but because we’re on a Fiat monetary system, what we’re getting instead, is inflation, because for every bad idea that Trudeau makes law he can simply borrow the money from the central bank, meaning that all the higher operating costs become fixtures in the Canadian economy.
Now, if you’re Doug Ford, and you’ve already committed to this project and these government workers and contractors are demanding more money and having to pay more money in material costs, related to the CARBON TAX, what do you do?
During normal times, Doug Ford wouldn’t get a pass from me, but Doug Ford has been where he can, slicing the size of the government. However the carbon tax and all of these Environmental, social, and governance(ESG) are guaranteed to continuously raise operating costs. Menaing that Canadian voters are 100% to blame for this, because they voted for Justin Trudeau or Jagmeet Singh to raise taxes.
I’ve heard nothing from NDP supporters to get rid of the carbon tax, so they and the Liberals are on board with raising operating costs and it’s for this reason why I give Doug Ford a pass.
If Canada gets back to normalcy, we can then have a discussion about Doug Ford, but our current Democratic system is FLAWED. Justin Trudeau, as well as Jagmeet Singh, have proven without a shadow of a doubt that if we have immoral Federal politicians running the country, every single province gets affected because our federal government is way too powerful.
I’ve been saying for a long time that Canadians need to look at the Swiss Democratic system, which also has Leftists; however, the destruction Leftists can cause to the ENTIRE COUNTRY is regulated by the political sections of the country they control because the Swiss haven’t allowed the Federal government the amount of power Canadians allows. Our “Democratic” system resembles a dictatorship, in which the majority can subrogate the minority, and the Greeks have already shown us what happens when you allow unchecked Democracy to run wild.
