Could The Democrat Party Split? Democrats vs. The Democratic Socialists – July 11, 2019,
The Democrat Party often confused with the being called the “Democratic” Party has a Democratic Socialists problem that started with Bernie Sanders and has now evolved into a Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) and Ayanna Pressley (Mass.) Problem. This problem isn’t going away, it’s here to stay in the Democrat party and the truth of the matter is Democratic socialists are responsible for the economic destruction of many parts of Latin America as well as Africa.
Canada’s equivalent to Bernie Sanders is a Political party called NDP. The New Democratic Party is a social democratic federal political party in Canada and its trail of destruction can be seen in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada where housing and even energy prices have become unbearably unaffordable in a country rich with energy and land.
In Latin America Lula, a Brazilian politician, and former union leader rose to power and became president of Brazil under The Workers’ Party which is a democratic socialist political party in Brazil., he along with Former President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff also of the democratic socialist Workers’ Party went from heroes to the most corrupt politicians in Brazilian history.
Those two politicians completely ruined Brazil’s economy and if you know anything about Austerity measures, they’re not easy to implement once the public gets a taste of unearned government benefits. Democratic socialists will reshape a nation, Democratic socialists are very expensive politicians to pay for because similar to Bernie Sanders, one of the first things Democratic Socialists do is they as an example disregard free market fundamentals and use the power of the government to raise workers wages at the expense of the private sector.
Bernie Sanders wants a $15 FEDERAL minimum wage, now, in theory, this sounds great to people who don’t own businesses, but if you’re a business selling 1 dollar hamburgers, you still have to restock inventory, you still have to pay your energy bills, pay property taxes, pay sales taxes, pay income taxes, renting/leasing bills and make a profit to pay for your employees and keep competitive pricing, because customers sure as hell don’t like higher prices and if $15 is the new minimum wage everywhere, then people who used to make $15 prior to Bernie Sanders minimum wage hike will now want a bump in their salary, because why should a professional make the same amount of money as an entry level worker? This, of course, leads to prices for everything, everywhere going up.
Now, adding to a proposed minimum wage hike is other social justices, that democratic socialist typically want to fix, humans who earn a paycheck have to enforce the law. Government workers don’t work for free. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has already asked for a pay raise. Public servants often have Public sector unions who represent them and what often is the case when a democratic socialist is President is that Public Sector Unions will pressure the democratic socialist elected to office to pay them more money, typically the democratic socialist president will oblige and viola just like that the public debt skyrockets. Usually the case the democratic socialist president as the public debt rising uncontrollably, they will have to find corrupt means to not only pay the public bills, but they’ll often have to look for scapegoats to blame.
Typically within a short time, the system will collapse and if Austerity measures can’t get pushed through what society will get at best is an Argentina situation. In Europe, people forget that the European economies crashed many times prior to the creation of the European Union. When I was growing up there was no European Union, European counties had their own currencies and most were worthless. I remember my ex-girlfriend giving me an Italian Lire, I brought it to the bank, the banker told me it was worthless! So when Bernie Sanders says America should be more like Europe, consider reading about the European economy and the failed European currencies.
Argentina’s government is so big and requires so much money to maintain it, that it constantly has a financial crisis’s. Recently both Brazil and Argentina have opted for a Political Center Right leadership, unfortunately, because of the damage caused by the Political Left, Austerity measures(shrinking the size of the public sector) are out of the question for a vast majority of the voting public, this, of course, is why poverty continues to rise in Latin America and why many are risking their lives to come to ‘racist’ America. Because you know racism is better than poverty, according to Liberal logic.
The traditional old school Democrat Party has an idea of what a free enterprise system is and why it works, the traditional Democrat understands the consequences of social justice, Democrats know the price tag of a government that revolves around social justice. Forcing people to change socially also equates to forcing people to change their buying patterns, when prices for goods and services go up because of social justice reform, society or the voting public often doesn’t want to pay the price tag attached to it. This is why black markets flourish, governments make laws humans break them, that’s what humans do, which is kind of the reason why America compared to the rest of the world is considered a rebellious nation, built on Freedom experiment!
So if Bernie Sanders artificially raises the cost of labor; people instead of simply buying a burger at a higher price, will instead alter their buying patterns, they might turn to the black market for burgers, they might start making burgers on their own and although this might not seem like a big deal, what this does is it causes people to lose their jobs, when people lose their jobs, INCOME TAX revenue drops significantly, when income tax revenue drops so do Sales taxes, no in a Free market economy, as Walmart dies, Amazon might rise, but in a democratic socialist society, when a big business fails it’s hard to replace it, because the barrier to entry has been artificially raised, meaning that only another big business can replace these bankrupt businesses. Once this starts to happen in mass, this is how Amazon can negotiate special tax favor from New York State.
Amazon simply says we can generate New York Trillions of dollars in tax revenue, but we need something in return, sure New York can behave the way Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did and demand Amazon pay ‘a livable wage’, but the reality of the situation is that the barrier to entry into the New York business market is so high, that only a handful of big businesses can afford to do business there. Meaning that if you don’t give in to Amazon’s demands, good luck finding an Amazon replacement!
All of this was caused by Democrat leadership, however, it was gradual decay. What Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) and Ayanna Pressley (Mass.) are proposing is full-blown Democratic-Socialism and the history of Socialism that puts the Free market a distant 3rd at best has proven to be a disaster. Sure Venezuelan Socialism is the news of the day, but most of Latin America is struggling economically because Socialism is embedded into a lot of Latin Cultures.
Once a socialist way of thought is embedded in your culture, into the way people view the world economically, it’s very hard to get rid of it. Currently, the Democrats are trying to get rid of this Democratic Socialist element from their party, but I don’t think they can, at best what I think is that Bernie Sanders (an independent), Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) and Ayanna Pressley (Mass.) will form their own democratic socialist political Party. Democratic socialism is rising in America, it’s the death nail to the American economy if it’s ever allowed to flourish, if it’s not put to bed, it will take over the Democrats Center Left, which everyone in America knows could destroy the Democrat Party as we know it.
