As more money is used to finance a war going nowhere, Russian President Vladimir Putin gets political and decides, “hey, what the hell, ceasefire to save my political career.” Clearly, the elites in Russia don’t feel threatened by Ukraine or even NATO. This a reminder that Russia has more Nukes than the U.S. and more dedicated servicemen as a percentage of their population than any western nation.
Russia hasn’t even used a nuclear bomb against Ukraine; basically, Russia is trying to get the Ukrainians to submit. Basically, Russia is waging a war of attrition against Ukraine and probably learning a lot about the strengths and weaknesses of its military in the process. In most western nations, politicians are trying to figure out the best way to hand out cash to buy votes.

If Russia felt any threat from Ukraine, it’s hard for me to imagine it would do this. I think negotiations should be considered at this point, as clearly, people are dying, and money is wasted for no reason. The NATO expansion into Russian territory should end. Ukraine and Russia need to work out their differences, stop wasting money on war, and get back to the economy so the world can become more prosperous.
