It’s pretty obvious when certain news outlets refuse to do their research which is their right, but this is the exact reason why the GOVERNMENT shouldn’t be allowed to pick and choose which news outlets should be considered “Fake News.” On my feed, one of the first messages I saw today was an article on Reuters.com by Sheila Dang, and Helen Coster titled “Trump snubs Twitter after Musk announces reactivation of ex-president’s account”?
In my head, I’m like, is this some sort of comedy or something? Because even if you don’t like Trump or Musk, this was an opportunity to discredit them both, instead Sheila Dang, and Helen Coster decided to spread misinformation, and these are TWO people who apparently wrote the article below, which means at least one of them could have done the research
Elon Musk reinstated Donald Trump’s Twitter account; I’m not sure if Musk understands or even cares if Donald Trump comes back, being that Musk spent 44 Billion to buy Twitter, he obviously has to find a way to generate some sort of buzz to the platform and using Donald Trump’s name is one of those ways to generate some buzz

But as reported months ago, Donald Trump has some sort of agreement with the social media platform “Truth Social” not to post on other platforms for 6 hours after posting on Truth Social, meaning that for the next two years while candidate Donald Trump is running to become President if followers of his campaign want to know what the Donald is thinking in real-time, they’ll have to log into or be members of Truth Social.
That makes perfect sense to me because the mere fact that Elon Musk did a poll to reinstate Trump is the EXACT reason why Donald Trump should NOT return to Twitter. Only 51.8% of Twitter users voted “yes” to reinstating Donald Trump, meaning that the number could easily become 60/40 on the “no” vote by next week. Making matters worse, many of these Twitter voters might not even be American.
If let’s imagine all the Trump haters become Twitter users so that they can vote Trump OFF of Twitter again because he said something controversial that could ruin Trump’s presidential campaign.
I’ve been rather critical of Elon Musk’s business decisions, I do think the man is a genius, but Tesla’s success is, in many ways, the result of Elon Musk getting the GOVERNMENT on board with the Electric Car(EV) revolution. Most large companies considered “Green” for years now have received government subsidies to stay afloat.
One of the reasons I don’t own Twitter or Tesla stock is that I personally don’t see the value in the marketplace. I don’t know what Tesla would look like without the help of the government. I also don’t know how Twitter performs in a NORMALIZED interest rate environment. Zero Interest Rate Policy(ZIRP) created Big Tech; I’m not even a buyer of Facebook, but I do own Alphabet Inc. because I use Google every day; Google for me replaced encyclopedias, and that’s HUGE, yes Google is not perfect, yes Google can be considered one of the “woke” companies, but I can see the value in Google.

Twitter on the flip side, I’ve always had a hard time comprehending the value of Twitter; I did think the “Square terminal” has some value, but does Elon own Square? What I’m getting at here is that depending on Trump runs his campaign, “political Twitter” might be a thing of the past. I have to be honest; Donald Trump’s unpredictability on certain issues borders on buffoonish, so it would NOT surprise me if Trump goes out of his way to cancel his contract with Truth Social to join Elon Musk on Twitter.
I personally think that would be beyond stupid, but it wouldn’t surprise me, which gives you a glimpse into what I think of Donald Trump and social media. As President, I like and dislike some of Trump’s policies; obviously, I prefer the MARKET deciding interest rates, so if Trump were president, I imagine he’s going to push the Fed Chair to lower interest rates, which would really irritate me, but on the flip side, I like that Trump rejects the “Green socialist climate change agenda” outright and will cut regulations harming U.S energy, so that’s something I can get behind.

So, politically for myself, Donald Trump is a wild card, but no reason why Trump SHOULD help Elon rebuild Twitter. A lot of Trump supporters DO NOT like Trump being on Twitter; when I think about it, it sounds STUPID for Trump to be on Twitter; however, Trump justified his Twitter fingers in the past by saying it was a tool he used to counteract “Fake News.”
So? It is, what it is, Trump will do what Trump thinks he needs to do to win the 2024 election; just from the outside looking in, I don’t know what that means regarding Elon Musk; the value of Twitter, in my eyes, could change, but not how it’s constructed right now, I personally think Twitter is the beneficiary of ZIRP. It’s hard for me to imagine most Big Tech companies performing well in a NORMALIZED interest rate environment.

Consumer price inflation equates to purchasing power being destroyed, and in that climate, DIVIDEND paying stocks are all the rage; if you want me to take my money out of the interest-paying banks, which will likely have a lot of DEPENDABLE, solvent, hard-working middle-class customers in DEBT, you’re going to have to incentivize people like me with a dividend.
Being that Twitter is now a private company? I have to ask what’s in it for me. I personally thought Twitter being public was the best part of Twitter; now that it’s private and Elon Musk is taking polls to decide if Twitter accounts can be reinstated, what message does that send? Personally, just from a business perspective, if I were Donald Trump, I would SNUB Twitter; after all, the Truth Social app was developed by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG).

Sure it will likely have growth problems, but Trump will have more control over his own platform than he’ll have on Twitter, and you have to remember that Elon Musk isn’t exactly a Conservative; his complaint with the Democrats is that they’ve gone too far to the Left, meaning that Elon Musk could flip on Trump at any time.
