But they’re not officially added to my email marketing campaign until they check their email and confirm their subscription. The reason for double opt in email marketing is to assure that nobody is abusing your email address. Of course we all know this is seldom the case as many spammers take peoples email accounts and sell them all over the internet.

If you subscribe to my email list you’ll notice that you can unsubscribe at any time. Notice that you can unsubscribe from my subscribers list I cannot see your email address ever again nor can I send emails. This makes owning an email account much more pleasurable unfortunately as many of you know this is not the case. Sometimes I wonder why email accounts even have junk folders? Sometimes I wonder if the free email providers themselves are spamming peoples email accounts. In the past free email accounts would ask you if you want to receive offers from their affiliates which to me basically meant that they’re willing and able to sell your email account.

Why you should practice Double Opt in Email Marketing

My thoughts on email marketing in general is if you’re going participate in the email marketing arena why not just do it the right and legal way. Typically people who don’t spam and find their targeted niche make the most money. The reality is really that simple, the problem comes that so much people want to get rich quick not realizing that trying to this seldom if ever works. Another thing is allot of advertisers and email marketers don’t even know that their spamming.

Some people purchase lists and send emails through companies that are in fact spammers, I’ve had plenty of stories of people using email marketing services and getting no results and then having no idea why. If a company is selling a list of 50,000 subscribers for $60 chances are that company is involved with spam. Legit companies sometimes charge up to $300 for 120 targeted leads. In everything in this world you get what you pay for, my thoughts in general are just build your list the right way double opt in email marketing.
