Equal pay for equal work: New rules arrive today in Ontario
I highly recommend Ontarians read this post:

There was a time when Liberals used to be smart people, they used to be in the middle of issues and not take a complete leftist position. However they’re enacting laws and not looking at the downsides of this laws. Speaking as a hardworking employee what the Liberals are actually doing with this law is going to cause a particular type of worker to not exist.
The death of the hard worker in Ontario
equality, fairness these ways of thinking can’t exist alongside freedom, you have to give up one to achieve the other. Humans do things based on incentive and if you take the incentive away humans will make educated decisions not to do certain things. So this law being passed by the Liberals will be used to help women get paid the same amount of money as a man. In fact this law may cause women or men not get hired at all for certain jobs, that is if that job even exists in Canada in the future.
As an example if a job requires heavy lifting. If person A can only lift one, 70 pound box per day while person B can lift twenty 70 pound boxes per day should person A and person B be entitled to the same hourly pay?
I hope you see where I’m going with this.
Now if person A can sew 20 shirts per day and person B can sew 5 shirts per day should both people be entitled to the same hourly pay?
Changing how Employers hire people
You may think the two situations mentioned are two completely different scenarios but this is the can of worms the Liberals just opened up because now employers are going to approach hiring from an entirely new perspective, especially if more complaints of workers being treated unfairly start to mount.
For the Liberals sake hopefully this will be one of those enacted laws that the average person sweeps under the rug. Because if more and more complaints of workers feeling unfairly treated by employers get filed and a legal presedence is established, Ontario is going to have a huge problem attracting foreign capital to grow an already dwindling manufacturing base.
This equal pay for equal work laws sounds great in theory but it has the potential to increase regulation which will be disastrous for Ontario’s manufacturing base.
