As adults, as Canadians, it’s time we have an honest conversation about equalization payments. New Brunswick should be commended for their response to COVID-19, however, New Brunswick has a huge financial problem, firstly if you’re wondering why I’m against a minimum wage, look no further than New Brunswick which is heavily reliant on migrant workers to do the jobs, people in New Brunswick don’t want to do. Currently, I believe New Brunswick’s minimum wage is $11.50 per hour, which is odd because typically beggars can’t be choosers.

The minimum wage which is a government price control is a privilege that countries or Provinces with a surplus can enjoy. The reality in Canada is that all of Canada could have a minimum wage if there weren’t so many other regulations in place.
Environmentalists are very influential in this country and most people think that Alberta is the province in Canada with natural resources, this is a lie, all of Canada including with New Brunswick with rich with natural resources, the problem is the people mostly in Eastern Canada have been brainwashed into believing that Pierre Trudeaus’ vision for Canada was the correct vision and therefore what we have in eastern Canada are bloated governments everywhere.
Why work in those labour intensive market-driven industries when we can work in a nice comfy government office?
The Welfare State, The Public Sector and Equalization Payments
Equalization payments go to the Government, not to the low wage earners, you see, one of the reasons I hate minimum wages is because if low wage earners had a shortfall if you’re into government redistribution schemes, the government could help low wage earners to by giving them the money the keeps them at the poverty level, but you see that’s not what happens, the poor are usually classified in Canada as the people who have no job, don’t want a job and are already taking more from the welfare system than they’re putting into it!
These government resource vampires, grow and grow as the minimum wage provides them with an excuse why they shouldn’t work. Before anyone gets welfare in Canada, they should be considered for farm work!. Farmers need workers, farmers take migrant workers because welfare recipients view farming jobs as something that’s beneath them.
Canada could actually do even more farming, but because entitled Canadians have the right to take the welfare check over doing labor-intensive jobs, you create stupid situations like the one you can read about below.
A reminder that there’s a labour shortage in Canada, this labour shortage means fewer people are paying income taxes! Now being perfectly honest, I’m not sure how for much longer Western Canada can carry Eastern Canada, but these stories that you can read below, sound more and more ridiculous every time if you comprehend what’s going on!
