The Soviet Union doesn’t exist anymore and although the main reason why the Soviet Union fell had to do with SOCIALISM, obviously there will be people from the former Soviet Union who imagine the multiple secession movements that led to the creation of countries like Ukraine in 1991. In most Western Nations and even countries like Canada and America if say Quebec left Canada or Texas left the United States, how would these respective countries feel if Texas or Quebec began forming alliances with China or Russia?

Would the United States not see this as a security threat? Catalonia is now called an Autonomous community in Spain, as many in that part of Spain would like to secede, imagine they formed an alliance with China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea? Would NATO countries not have a problem with this? Would they not consider this a security threat?
Is Ukraine free to do what wants? Ofcourse, but these choices have consequences and Western nations knew of the potential conflicts of a Ukraine-Russian war dating back to when Russia annexed Crimea, which became a disputed territory back in 2014. Russian aggression led to the Crimea being annexed and Charles Michel served as Prime Minister of Belgium between 2014 and 2019, so I’m sure he knew about Russian aggression and Europe’s dependence on Russia and Ukraine long before 2022.
What I’m getting at here is that the European welfare state is the main reason why Europe and many parts of the world are dependent on both Ukraine for fertilizer and Russia for Natural Gas. Fertilizer and Natural Gas can both come from Europe, but Europe wants to virtue signal, that the EU imagines itself as ending its dependence on fossil fuels and Fertilizer is a FOSSIL FUEL.

If the European Union wants to get rid of fossil fuels, no problem, but how about having FREQUENT honest conversations with THEIR people about how dependent and problematic it will be for western nations and the world if they become reliant on hostile countries like Russia and non NATO countries like Ukraine? Again Crimea happened in 2014, that was an act of aggression, it was a clear sign that if Russia felt like it wanted to liberate or flatten a territory it would do it.
Knowing this, why would you allow the world to become this dependent on Russia? Can we now admit that maybe a lot of these EU leaders are either short-sighted? Scared to tell the people they represent the truth? or just plain stupid? If these countries thought enough of Russia that they’d keep NATO in existence long after the Soviet Union fell, clearly they didn’t TRUST Russia, nor could they trust the stability of Ukraine. So why then are is the world so reliant on OPEC+ countries and Ukraine for energy and food?

We all know the answer to that question and it’s the WELFARE State, the welfare State is why many parts of Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, etc, are allowing mass migration into their countries. The evidence shows that there is a SHRINKING population and a shortage of workers, why is there a shortage of workers? Because of the WELFARE STATE.

It’s often beneath people in western nations, to work on farms or do low-wage earning jobs, the problem is so bad, that some countries have FEDERAL minimum wage jobs. As I like to point out, in currencies or the forex markets, the value of a currency means nothing, what matters are minimum wage laws. Because if China as an example debases its currency to Green Back, it wouldn’t matter if minimum wage laws were abolished, because regardless of the MARKET value of each currency labor could be as cheap as it wanted to be, meaning that even if let’s say immigrants wanted to go to Western Europe or the United States, at the very least their DRIVING down of labor prices, would keep Europe and the United States competitive against countries like China, Russia or Ukraine.

Well in most Western European countries and the United States, not only do employers have to worry about minimum wage laws, there are many other government regulations WOULD be employers of FERTILIZER have to worry about, which make them UNCOMPETITIVE in the marketplace. This is a dog and pony show, I’m certain people will rally behind European Council President Charles Michel and say could things about him, but what I laid out in this article are the ECONOMIC consequences of the welfare state. There are a lot of ABLE-BODIED people reliant on the government to survive, and a lot of it stems from minimum wages and generous government welfare programs that REWARD people for not working hard.
As I’ve been saying for years, living in ANY major city is NOT a right, it’s a privilege and there are a lot of ABLE-BODIED people reliant on government WELFARE consuming a lot of unearned resources in major WESTERN cities, these welfare leeches don’t work to help us produce fertilizer, build solar panels, build wind turbines, clean the streets, clean public property, pick fruits or vegetables? No, they CONSUME resources and assist what appears to be enemies of the European Union wage wars?

Now, instead of having these conversations about the welfare state, most people are focusing on what was inevitable war with Ukraine, based on what appears to be NATO aggression. You have to remember, that this conflict started when Ukraine was looking to join NATO. This conflict dates back to November 2002, at the NATO enlargement summit, the NATO–Ukraine commission adopted a NATO-Ukraine Action Plan.

I don’t think Charles Michel as in politics during that period of time, but Russia wasn’t happy with Ukraine joining NATO from way back then. I believe it was in 2004 when Ukraine decided it didn’t want to join NATO, in 2003 the United States invaded Iraq, and obviously, the U.S didn’t want to be involved in what could potentially be a war with Russia over Ukraine.
We could go on and on about Russia-Ukraine, the point I’m trying to make here, is when you build a welfare State, you’re building a culture of DEPENDENCE. If it sounds silly that western nations are dependent on Ukraine and Russia for food and energy it’s because it is STUPID. We got here because of dumb-short-sighted UNNECESSARY regulations on the economy, to virtue signal to voters that they can have their welfare state and destroy their ability to control the means of production.
