Foreign caregivers face new hurdles to stay in Canada – July 1, 2018
Whenever a country leans more towards socialism inevitable problems occur, regulations are good but too much regulations namely regulations that create artificial inflation are bad for society as a whole. As an example, if Nuclear energy or the creation of Nuclear power plant wasn’t regulated this wouldn’t be horrible just for a local society, it would be bad for the planet as a whole. It’s also in a societies best interests to make sure the people working at Nuclear power plants are well paid.
Now on the flip side to this are people working in the fast food industry, should these people get a minimum or livable wage? The first question to ask is what’s a livable wage? Who created a livable wage and who enforces this livable wage. The answers to all these questions in Canada revolves around the government. The government raises the cost of living for everyone and only those with access to more resources than others can use loopholes to avoid paying prices the rest of us are FORCED to pay.

Why are Foreign caregivers in Canada in the first place? Is it money or is it the services they offer? Well, the truth is Foreign caregivers would be in Canada whether there was a minimum wage or not and the reason is that of the entitlements of Canadian citizens. I don’t know any Canadian parent regardless of race or gender that grooms their children to become live-in caregivers. Why is that you ask? Because we have better options and any job that a Canadian believes is beneath them, they won’t do. In Canada, we have welfare, entitlements, government subsidies and welfare which in reality entitles all Canadians to a livable wage and a higher standard of living than other parts of the world.
What does a minimum wage really mean? A minimum wage means if I can get paid the same amount of money to flip burgers as I would get to be a live-in Caregiver, I’m sorry but I choose flipping burgers, I’ll choose sweeping floors for the big corporation. So what does this lead too? This leads to fewer daycare workers, why should I listen to screaming children all day when I can flip burgers or work at a Canadian tire or a Walmart. Sure there will be people that will work at a daycare, but in time these individuals will demand higher wages, which the daycare business owner has to pass on to parents.
This eventually leads to inflation that otherwise wouldn’t exist, because without a minimum wage, individuals would be paid based on their competence, understand reader that minimum wages aren’t about the money it’s about the initiation of force, once the government starts forcing people or businesses to do something it changes the mentality of society.
Economics is boring
Let’s be honest most people aren’t interested in history, history is a boring topic that most people would rather ignore, economic history is probably one of the most boring subjects which ultimately means that only a select few of us will even consider researching it. Sure those of us that understand this stuff view it as common sense, but because politicians use ignorance to keep the masses in the dark to get votes, one government action is solved with another government action and before you know it Foreign caregivers face new hurdles to stay in Canada.

Because you know jobs that the average Canadian doesn’t want to do based on the market created by the government is causing Canadians not to want to work as caregivers because the pay is too cheap and the work is too hard. This is why loopholes exist, without loopholes Canada is Venezuela, that’s the truth, the truth regarding immigration revolves around welfare. Had it not been for welfare most people wouldn’t immigrate to Canada.
If people immigrated to Canada only to find that they had to work to survive and there was no form of welfare, most would migrate right back to the countries they came. The Canadian immigration system, in my opinion, is better than a lot of places around the globe. We have a merit-based immigration system for the most part and being that my fellow Canadians have chosen socialism I agree with a merit-based immigration system.
Now, if there wasn’t any welfare, no entitlements, and limited regulations, to be honest, I don’t think immigration would be that big a deal. The only time immigration would be a hot topic is if a particular group of immigrants were warmongerers. With that said my personal views regarding Foreign caregivers face new hurdles to stay in Canada is that this is a socialist problem, that should exist. There will always be a demand for foreign caregivers as long as we live in an entitled, rich society. As long as there’s minimum wages and as long as day care prices continue to skyrocket people with the means to do so, will find loopholes in the law. If the government continues to close these loopholes the prices for caregiving will continue to skyrocket.
As of July 1, 2018, Canada is in a trade war with the United States, this trade war is going to make U.S made goods uncompetitive in the Canadian market, Canada also has tariffs on other countries which is why a lot of prices on foreign goods are inflated now. If the Canadian government continues to limit options for Parents well prices the skyrocket and Foreign caregivers may simply stop coming here or even demand higher wages for their services. Furthermore, as I’ve been saying for month’s now I’m still shocked that the Canadian dollar is a high as it is right now. So I see a lot of challenging times ahead. Let’s hope our Canadians politicans get it right.
