French President Emmanuel Macron’s office played down the moment his wife, Brigitte Macron, appeared to shove him in the face in Vietnam at the start of the couple’s Southeast #Asia tour.
“My wife and I were squabbling, we were rather joking, and I was taken by surprise,” Macron told reporters in Hanoi. Now it’s “become a kind of planetary catastrophe, and some are even coming up with theories,” he said.
