After Russia launched one of its largest assaults on Ukraine Saturday night into Sunday, President Trump told reporters, “I don’t know what the hell happened to Putin,” adding, “I don’t like it at all.” In a separate Truth Social post Sunday night, Trump called Putin “absolutely crazy” — but also blamed both Putin and Zelenskyy—as well as President Biden—for the war.
On #MorningJoe, former CIA officer Marc Polymeropoulos responded, saying Trump’s surprise was “preposterous”: “Putin has been killing people for years, if not decades.”
