A little context regarding this homosexual journalist. He previously worked for CNN, and he was not exactly known for being the brightest journalist among his peers. In fairness to him, it is unclear whether he even knew that what he was doing was wrong, because Don Lemon’s defense appears to be a plea of ignorance.
I genuinely believe Lemon was unaware that what he was doing was morally, ethically, and legally wrong. Now that he is an independent journalist, he no longer has CNN telling him, no Don Lemon, you cannot pull this stunt while working for The Cable News Network.
It is unlikely that Lemon sought legal counsel before pulling this stunt. It appears he was far more concerned with receiving attention than with understanding the legal consequences of his actions.
Arrest and Federal Charges
Journalist Don Lemon has been charged with federal civil rights crimes in connection with an anti immigration enforcement protest that disrupted a service at a Minnesota church, according to the United States Department of Homeland Security.
Lemon was arrested Thursday by federal agents in Los Angeles, where he had been covering the Grammy Awards, according to his attorney, Abbe Lowell. He was expected to appear in court there Friday afternoon.
The veteran journalist is charged with conspiracy and interfering with the First Amendment rights of worshipers during a January 18 protest at Cities Church in St. Paul. A United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement official serves as a pastor there. Another journalist and two protest participants were also arrested in Minnesota.
Minnesota, Immigration, and Church Targeting
For additional context, Minnesota has an extreme stance on illegal immigration. Individuals who support illegal immigration actively attempt to prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement from performing its duties.
Cities Church belongs to the Southern Baptist Convention and lists one of its pastors as David Easterwood, who leads an ICE field office. From the atheistic perspective of the protesters, he became a target even inside his church. In their minds, he and his congregation were considered fair game because of his role in enforcing immigration law.
This is why the phrase homosexual “Christian” journalist is used. Homosexuality is described in the Bible as an abomination for reasons such as these. An abomination is the result of sin compounded. This does not automatically condemn a person to eternal hell simply because they had or have a same sex relationship. Rather, it means that when an initial sin is not addressed and truth is censored, sin compounds until it manifests openly through destructive behaviors and rituals. Engaging in demonic rituals leads to destruction, which is a constant theme throughout the Bible.
I am not the type of person to play God. By that I mean I will not tell you that you are going to hell. What I will say is please consider reading the Bible. Do not seek out a pastor who will confirm your sin as a guarantee of heaven, and do not allow a pastor to convince you that you are definitely going to hell either. Find Christ Jesus. He will show you the way.
If you are struggling with homosexuality, consider reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. After reading those books, it is important to remember that Jesus was a Jew. From there, you should study the Books of Moses to understand what Moses faced while leading people who had been slaves for four hundred years and giving them structure under the laws of God.
When you read the Books of Moses, you begin to notice how sin compounds and why, for example, the Old Testament contains statutes. As people sin, new unforeseen problems and demonic influences arise. As you read the Old Testament, the New Testament and Jesus Christ begin to make more sense and can be placed into clearer context. From there, you will start to see the world for what it is, rather than what you think it should be.
Leviticus 18:22 22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Sin, Attention, and Censorship
There are highly intelligent homosexual individuals, so this is not an assertion that homosexuals are unintelligent. However, much like those who believe in natural law without Christ, when a person becomes deeply rooted in the world and distant from Christ, they often fail to recognize the moral weight of their actions because sin has compounded.
Many homosexual individuals seek attention, and when they receive it, it is often still not enough. They feel compelled to destroy their opposition, which from a Christian perspective is demonic. This is why Christians must pay close attention to individuals who advocate censorship.
When observing Don Lemon, he appears like a lost sheep searching for a shepherd. However, he has closed his mind to the possibility that he himself may be the problem rather than his opposition.
Christian Responsibility and Accountability
Christians should never pile on or attack homosexuals, nor should they be expelled from the church. Many are products of the sins of their parents or the influence of others.
I once heard an atheist complain about unruly children while noting that another atheist raised well behaved children. Intelligence and discipline exist among both atheists and Christians. Atheists can raise disciplined children, and Christians can raise terrible ones. However, without Christ in the picture, atheist children may struggle to conceptualize Jesus Christ at all, which makes it easy to misinterpret Christianity as a racist cult. This belief is common in modern atheistic movements, especially those targeting white Christians.
When pro illegal immigration protesters entered that church, they could not conceptualize what they were doing. Yes, this may sound apologetic, but it is the Christian approach. Do not censor me because you disagree. God is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He has many flocks, and Christians are called to help reclaim God’s children from the grip of Satan.
Law, Property, and Moral Order
Legally speaking, if Don Lemon broke the law, he should face jail time. This aligns with the United States system of property and legal justice. I am a Christian, yet I do not enter other religions’ places of worship to harass them, even if I believe there may be dangerous ideologies present.
My position is simple. If you believe in censorship, there is a strong likelihood that you worship Satan. God represents innovation and truth. Every problem we see has an answer in God. The issue with mortals like myself is impatience. We want everything immediately. If that were possible, life would lose meaning. Many wealthy children who can obtain anything they desire fall into depression because meaning disappears.
Only Christ can fill any void in life. That is why I recommend reading the Bible daily, even if it is only one verse. A church is merely a building. God destroyed Egypt, yet left its monuments behind as reminders of a once powerful nation now irrelevant.
Freedom, Faith, and Political Correctness
Christ unlocked the Holy Spirit and embodies freedom. Rigidity and inflexibility do not bring souls to Christ. Once you understand Christ’s love, a pattern becomes clear. Those who hate Christ tend to love censorship and believe they alone know what is best for others.
Pro illegal immigrant groups believe their agenda justifies any action. In their view, even arresting a convicted pedophile or murderer becomes unacceptable because they fear broader enforcement. This is how sin leads to abomination.
Christians are subject to emotion like anyone else, but this message is directed toward those considering atheism. Many non Christians display atheistic traits, particularly censorship. The marketplace of ideas becomes blocked for political or ideological purposes, where political correctness is treated as moral law.
Donald Trump’s popularity, in my opinion, stems from his rejection of political correctness. This is not a claim that he is godly, but rather that people respond to his refusal to censor speech. Political correctness is censorship, and idolizing politicians as saviors is a form of idol worship.
Consider making Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior today.
