Often you’ll hear different names being used, claiming this or that person created free-market capitalism or free markets in general. FREEDOM itself starts with Jesus Christ. As Christians, we pride ourselves on Judeo-Christian values; well, FREEDOM doesn’t exist among Jews the way it does among Christians who follow the Bible.
In Israel and among a large chunk of Jews, CENSORSHIP is still acceptable and seen as a form of survival among their people, because Jesus to them is not the Son of God; at best, he’s a prophet. As Christians, we see Christ as the Son of God, and one of the reasons for this is that, especially among us Protestants who actually read the Bible, a light bulb goes off once you comprehend that most non-believers in Christ want to CONTROL everything instead of allowing FREEDOM to reign.
Christ, in his teachings, was promoting FREEDOM while also teaching us the Kingdom of God, which for Christians is our moral compass. Christ was also smart enough to make sure his commandments were not RIGID like the laws of Moses and what we Christians know as secular laws.
If you look at or follow all the laws of MORTAL MEN, they’re a whole lot more than Jesus’s commandments, and similar to the laws of Moses, secular laws need statutes and amendments because man-made laws revolve around trying to control what secularists believe is the devil, whereas Yeshua’s commandments revolve around we Christians seeking the Kingdom of God.
Seeking the Kingdom of God takes a FREEDOM approach to laws, and it’s not FIXED. First off, you must comprehend why Jesus’s laws were, as I’m interpreting, tiered.
Mark 12:28-31
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Often, people read the Bible out of context, or you get pastors and priests who have lived sheltered lives, not comprehending the POWER of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Because if you’ve never worked a hard day in your life and you haven’t challenged your thinking, you’d assume that you have scripture down pat based on your current understanding of Yeshua.
No, we’re talking about GOD here, not a political god who tells you that if you do what some earthly master says, you’ll be in heaven with a bunch of virgins waiting for you—which, as an older, mature man, should sound utterly ridiculous as a reward. God gave us the LIBERTY to have freedom of thought; it is the FEAR of mortal men who want you to think the way they want you to think, because they want to control you, just like they want to control the economy, which for them is nothing more than a LEVER that will allow them to dominate other humans into perpetuity.
So a free market is FREEDOM FROM GREED, because, for example, capitalism without government is actually DEFLATIONARY, not inflationary. Meaning your good deeds will DRIVE DOWN COSTS, and driving down prices is how we enrich more people, until the thought of money becomes nothing more than exchanging CONTRACTS.
As Christians, most of us would rather give anyway. Why most of us can’t give the way we’d like is because of man-made SECULAR laws, because most humans do not believe in Christ as the Son of God and therefore assume that they know better than Christ. This is why, as Christians, we don’t judge others as if we were God ourselves.
We might judge them based on SECULAR laws, but we don’t say this or that person is going to heaven or hell, because that’s NOT our call as Christians. Also, as Christians, we observe that there’s a reason why Christ came to us as a JEW.
So no Christian in their right mind makes crimes done by Jews any larger than crimes done by any other human. We don’t TARGET people based on their blood lineage, but we acknowledge that God, through His word, granted Jews a wealth of knowledge for the foundation of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
God has already taught humans how to be wealthy; the problem is that we are our own worst enemies. We allow the devil to dictate what we do instead of focusing on building the Kingdom of God.
As Christians, we are not trapped in any one economic system; we are bound by God, who gives us liberty, freedom, and PROPERTY RIGHTS.
Matthew 19:4-12
3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
