Hunger in Canada is primarily an income problem that only Maxime Bernier has addressed on the political stage – October 4, 2019,

The first thing I’d like to address has to do with hunger being an income problem, in the modern era, hunger shouldn’t be an income problem, however it is, primarily because, most humans gravitate to larger cities, food has to be shipped into larger cities and via GMO’s the reality is world hunger ended when GMO’s were created, why are humans still hungry you ask? Primarily because of Government initiatives. The first thing people have to comprehend is this thing called food waste. On a yearly basis is 120 kg per capita food loss occurs in Southeast Asia, in Sub-Saharan Africa 170 kg of food waste per capita. That’s over 370 pounds of food is WASTED every year in the poorest countries of the world, guess why this happens? Government intervention!

Like it or not, food gets transported into places, and being that Canada is an oil-rich country, we should be benefiting with lower gas prices which would help to lower transportation costs to transport food into poor regions, furthermore, regions without roads typically don’t have these roads or the proper infrastructure primarily because Canada has a 1 size fits all approach to education. In the article you can read at the bottom of this post, the writer writes about a topic I’m very familiar with.

Now, there used to be a period in time when Canada had a lot more food manufacturing than it does now, yes supply management is preventing more people from manufacturing in Canada, but you have to also remember that, the COST OF LIVING is why Hunger in Canada is primarily an income problem. The Liberals and the NDP for the most part of had free reign on the Canadian economy for the past 40 years, even when a Conservative Politician was a Prime minister most Provinces had a Liberal or NDP Premier.

Now, during these times in every instance, the NDP and Liberal governments raised the cost of living on the poor. I don’t know how many times I have to write this, PUBLIC SERVANTS DON’T WORK FOR FREE, volunteers work for free and let’s say a volunteer has to travel city to city getting food, well if the transportation and other energy-related costs go up, then it becomes harder for the volunteer to collect food and resources. I can’t speak for Daniel Rotman but as a volunteer, I know that trucks and cargo vans are often used to transport food, so when Justin Trudeau creates things like carbon taxes when Canada’s air quality is among the best in the world, the reality is Trudeau is attacking the poor.

Many of Canada’s cities rank among the cleanest in the world for their air quality, including major centers like Ottawa, Toronto, and Vancouver. Now, sure we can get cleaner, but at what expense? This is these are the disasters politicians create. Adding to th problem are people who want us to stop eating meat, if you notice the these with Leftist, they tend to what to limit your options. Instead of Leftist saying I don’t eat such and such I’d wish you’d do the same, what most leftist do is the try to regulate cheaper alternatives out of existence.

GMOs aren’t for everyone, but they help to end poverty, it’s actually via government edict why any INVOLUNTARY poverty exists. Now I appreciate the writer below for writing the article, but I wish people would revisit Maxime Bernier’s platform about lowering the cost of food. When I write in great length about poverty, minimum wages, welfare and free-market solutions to these problems, I’m trying to remind people of the technological era we’re living in.

Maybe in the past socialism made sense, but now socialism is in the way of progress, expensive government workers are too expensive, deficits are causing Canada to pay back money to a central bank that could have been used to address poverty-related problems, climate change, and climate taxes raise transportation costs that bring food to people. I wish Canada would consider a re-think of the damages Big Government, Liberal, NDP, and Conservative politicians have caused to the poor.
