Is It acceptable for Mark Zuckerberg and Meta to lay off workers via email? Absolutely YES, Unless it’s illegal to do so! – March 30, 2023,
I’m not sure if laying off people via email is illegal in certain jurisdictions, but if it’s not, Meta is within it’s rights to look out for the well-being of its EMPLOYED staff. The current trend by Mainstream media is that if individuals are NOT on board with the ever-changing socialist-progressive agenda, which appears to be moving towards Totalitarianism, then it’s OKAY to use violence.
Recently a transgender male with mental health issues, who is often labeled as a WOMAN because of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS, is being turned into a VICTIM by certain prominent members of the media. This white male, with a mental health issue that, from my vantage point, is eerily similar to the mental health issues you associate with WHITE SUPREMACISTS mass shooters, has been given SYMPATHY because of the CURRENT politics of the day, which seeks to put ALL transgender individuals into PROTECTED political classes.
Why this matters in regards to Facebook firing people via email is that Facebook has been at the forefront of the progressive agenda and likely comprehends the mental health challenges and BIASES the media gives people who identify with TRENDING cultures. Firing individuals face to face, via mail or over the phone puts LIVES at risk, and could actually make Facebook more liable in the event one of the people they fire decides to enact violence or stage a protest against Facebook.
It’s unclear to me what angle professional leadership advisor and distinguished fellow at Harvard Law School, Heidi K. Gardner, is going for because there’s no proper way to fire someone; there are TRADITIONAL ways to fire people, which also included snail and registered mail in the past, but if I’m Meta and I’m laying people off, I’m trying to protect the well being of my own employees.

What would surprise me is if Facebook isn’t beefing up security to avoid a mass shooting in their headquarters because I can almost guarantee you that if Facebook does layoffs and there’s a mass shooting by a member of a “protected” political class, there will be people in politics and in the MEDIA who will try to create a narrative that sympathizes with the shooter.
From a business point of view, Facebook is in a NO-WIN situation when it has to lay off people. One of my problems with Zero Interest Rate Policy (ZIRP) by the Federal reserve is all the malinvestment in the economy. A lot of these tech companies, many of whom are harvesting data, would not be able to harvest this data without ZIRP.
All of this harvested data, acquired by Facebook, still haven’t made them as profitable as people would have imagined; why? because as I’ve been saying for years now, ZIRP has created all sorts of malinvestment in the economy. A lot of UNPROFITABLE ideas are still unprofitable; however, they’ve allowed for tech companies especially to grow when they shouldn’t have.
When I see Facebook, I still see Myspace; personally, I think Elon Musk’s purchasing of Twitter was a waste of money; I knew about Twitter when it started, and what everyone in my era knew about Twitter was that it was FILLED with FAKE profiles, it was common to find websites dedicated to SELLING you fake Twitter profiles that looked like they were real.
“Buy Fake Twitter followers” was the norm, but ZIRP allowed companies like Facebook to appear like they were flourishing when they really weren’t; one could argue WhatsApp and Instagram are better than Facebook itself, and if you know anything about WhatsApp and Instagram, both could be replaced or evolved if investments weren’t being poured into Meta.

Costs are rising when technology is supposed to LOWER costs, all sorts of malinvestments in the economy fueled by cheap money in my opinion, has been the fuel for SNOWFLAKE culture. It’s quite clear to me why snowflakes have risen to places of such power that they GENUINELY want to CENSOR people who disagree with them.
I’m by no means claiming that Heidi K. Gardner wants to censor people who oppose her, but snowflake culture and censorship culture go hand on hand, and one of the reasons I point to snowflake-censorship culture dominated the media landscape now is because ZERO INTEREST RATE policy(ZIRP) which has been EXTREMELY beneficial to all parts of the media.
In Canada, as an example, PRIOR censorship that dates back to the 1980s has destroyed their media; Canadian media in Canada struggles to appeal to Canadians on and offline. Where certain media outlets in the United States are finding success online using social media etc, Canadian media can’t make a dent becasue the federal government in Canada has REGULATED them into BLANDNESS!
Layoff via email is innovative, and as long as Facebook isn’t breaking any laws, what’s the big deal? I certainly wouldn’t want to go to work just to be told by my superior that my services will no longer be required. At least at my home, I can decompress and not spend any more money or time going to my prior job.
Personally, I think Heidi K. Gardner is reaching out to SNOWFLAKE culture in her article, and I find it rather pathetic because these snowflakes need to toughen up because one day they’ll be the leaders of the world, and soft individuals can not maintain complex societies like the ones we’re living in today.
