Israel First Conservatism: Jews, the Israeli Military Censor, and Faith in Jesus Christ (Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and Megyn Kelly) – December 22, 2025

Freedom of Speech as a Christian Foundation

Christians believe in freedom of speech. It is foundational to Christian civilization and to Western culture itself. Many Christians are freedom of speech absolutists.

Some argue that you cannot shout “fire” in a crowded theater. My response is simple: build a safer theater. Why are corners being cut to squeeze profits? If people are screaming “fire,” perhaps ticket prices are too low, the wrong audience is being attracted, or the model itself lacks innovation.

Outdoor theaters once existed. Innovation solves problems better than censorship.

Christian societies historically pride themselves on property rights. Secularists, by contrast, frame morality through the lens of social justice. For me, Jesus Christ is my social justice. As a Christian, I do not seek or condone physical harm against anyone. But once a society enters the realm of speech control or censorship, it invites a far more dangerous conflict.

Disagreement Without Censorship

I disagree with the positions taken by Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and Megyn Kelly regarding Israel. In my view, part of Israel’s current predicament stems from relentless external land restrictions imposed by global powers.

Israel is told it cannot annex Gaza or the West Bank because the United States or Europe claims it would trigger a world war. How does anyone know that? Who appointed them arbiters of God or history? Any number of events can trigger war, and responses are shaped by the realities of the time in which they occur.

Disagreement is not the issue. Censorship is.

Influence, Power, and Reality

When I hear claims that figures like Matt Gaetz are being harassed by individuals tied to Israeli political interests because of America First positions, I see it as part of a broader reality. Jewish communities, like many others, include individuals with wealth and influence who attempt to shape outcomes in their favor.

That reality alone does not justify censorship.

What concerns me is not Israeli think tanks saying “stay out of our business,” but rather the growing demand to silence American commentators. Calls to censor Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, or Megyn Kelly are fundamentally incompatible with Christian values.

Faith, Speech, and Spiritual Warfare

This conflict is not primarily physical. It is spiritual.

Christians are wired differently. When speech is attacked, it is not merely political. It is perceived as an attack on God, the Holy Spirit, and Yeshua. When speech is suppressed, some Christians react aggressively, sometimes irrationally. That is not an endorsement. It is an observation.

I do not bear false witness. I cannot confirm or deny the claims made by Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, or Megyn Kelly. I do not see what they see or know what they know.

But censorship changes psychology. When someone who loves Christ, liberty, property rights, and freedom of speech is silenced, they may begin entertaining ideas they otherwise would not.

The Israeli Military Censor and the Contradiction

Israel has an official government body known as the Israeli Military Censor.

Its mandate is to prevent publication of information deemed harmful to national security. This authority covers military operations, intelligence matters, and defense-related topics. The legal foundation for this system traces back to British Mandate-era emergency laws still in effect today.

Israeli media outlets are legally required to submit certain material for review prior to publication. The censor may suppress or redact information, and media outlets are prohibited from disclosing that censorship occurred. Journalists who fail to comply may face penalties, loss of accreditation, or expulsion.

This framework directly contradicts any claim to absolute freedom of speech.

Old Testament Authority Versus the New Testament Revelation

Some argue that belief in free speech does not require belief in Jesus Christ. I disagree.

King David ordered killings of those who spoke against God’s anointed, Saul. By Christian definition, that was censorship enforced by violence. David was still a prophet and a great man, but that ideology is distinct from the New Testament.

If Christ is viewed only as a prophet, the New Testament becomes difficult to understand.

The Old Testament evolves with Adam and Eve. The New Testament evolves with Jesus Christ dismantling entrenched establishments and rebuilding moral authority from the ground up. America, flawed as it is, emerged from that rebuilding. A society founded on the deliberate dismantling of censorship had never existed before.

Why Censorship Fails

Some Israelis and Israel First Christians do not take Christian objections to censorship seriously. Many operate from secular or nationalist frameworks rather than New Testament theology.

Jesus is clearly pro free speech. He compels no one. He teaches by example. He does not force obedience. When people misuse the Lord’s name, I remove myself. I do not silence them.

That principle matters.

If Israel were to say, “Leave us alone. Stop drawing our borders. Stop treating us like children,” I would respect that position. External powers dictating national boundaries can easily be interpreted as acts of aggression.

The Central Issue: Yeshua

Ultimately, the issue is Yeshua.

Modern Israeli society operates largely under Old Testament doctrine, relying on intelligence, military strength, and national cohesion. From my perspective, faith rooted in intellect alone is insufficient. If Christ were recognized as the Son of God, Israel might better navigate the chaos surrounding it.

Without Christ, life becomes a prison.

The Apostle Paul, once he found Christ, became untouchable. He acted faithfully and left the outcome to God. That is the posture Christians understand.

The best I can offer my Jewish brothers and sisters is this: consider Jesus Christ. Christianity is not a cult. It is submission to God the Creator, the Innovator, the King of Kings.

Final Warning on Censorship

Censoring Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, or Megyn Kelly does nothing but inflame tensions. Their audiences are not looking for truth through suppression. They are looking for enemies.

I reject collectivization. Most events are driven by individuals or small groups. Terrorism will not increase or decrease because of American commentators.

Censoring youth never solves the problem. Education and exposure do. All evil requires is light.

Seek the Kingdom of God.

Consider making Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior today.
