The old racist Democrat Party had complete control of the narrative until the invention of the television. When people first got a television it was like looking into the mirror. So when the Democrat Party of the Southern United States were practicing racism on television, white people struggled to imagine that they were the monsters the then racist radical democrat party told them they had to be.
The innovation of the television changed the course of racism in the United States. Racism went from being mainstream to something on the fringes. However, the Democrats didn’t stop there, because the television also assisted the Democrats in learning how to control the narrative.
