Jordan Peterson vs. Slavoj Zizek debate Review – April 20, 2019
Sometimes I forget that actual communist exists, to me, communism is such an idiotic concept because I’d personally prefer full-blown anarchy over than having a parent(the government) watching, monitoring and criticizing everything I do. Imagine living in a place, in a country where it’s assumed that a group of people are smarter than everyone else in every conceivable way?. That’s Communism in a nutshell. Now according to European standards, the Pigmy has one of the lowest IQ’s on the planet as group or tribe, however, they’ve survived thousands of years, without any government, as a matter fact governments in Africa if anything is responsible for their destruction. For the most part, the Pigmy is small in stature, not very intimidating and holds the Gorilla in the highest regard within their culture.
Now imagine some Chinese or some Russian forced their ideologies on the Pigmy in a similar fashion as the Western European forced their way of life on First Nations Canadians? Would that help or hurt them? The idea that the state is the end all be all in a communist society should be frightening, especially if you’re a minority group. In China, the Chinese Communist party is constantly infiltrating religious groups, even rewriting the bible to fit their communist objective, for reasons understood only by communists, there’s an obsession in China, Cuba, Venezuela, and Russia to infiltrate everything. It’s also considered a very normal practice to have a nanny state in communist countries. Any thought of a Nanny State in the United States is an uproar. Where did Edward Snowden flee to when leaked highly classified information from the National Security Agency in 2013? Moscow, Russia of course, a lot of people can’t even comprehend the correlation.
Big deal many people say to themselves, who cares if the government is spying on me, they’re doing this spying to protect me. It’s usually not until people get in trouble with the law that they realize how the commune majority can strip you of your individual rights and Liberties as a person. However, if it’s assumed that the Government can’t be corrupted, which is what communism represents, then it’s okay if a government tortures its own people for whatever reason it wants. As long as the government stays away from me, I’ll give the government all the power it wants, this is how many people view the world and this flawed psychology is what fuels communism and other collectivist ideologies. Communism is about control and dictation, it’s the assumption that the few know what’s best for everyone, whereas capitalism and free markets is an admittance of ignorance that fuels humans to pursue infinite knowledge in the pursuit of profit that comes as the result of demand.
Free markets create so much wealth and prosperity that it has to be regulated, whereas communism creates no wealth and wants the government or the majority to suppress a minority in an effort to control outcomes. Communism is the State/majority trying to play the role of God or creationism, which of course is why it doesn’t work If China as an example got rid of its free market zones, what would be left are all their centrally planned disasters. Although the assumption is that China’s pollution problems are caused by Capitalism, the reality is China’s pollution problems were caused by the Chinese Communist Party. China’s centrally planned economy gets it wrong almost every time, especially with energy and water.
The Chinese Communist Party is a bunch of wasteful morons, because Communist are often nothing more than dictators, that never worked an honest days work in their lives, which is why they assume running a business is easy. It’s not that Nicolás Maduro intended to make his nation poor, it’s that he’s an economic moron. Communism is a concept that its followers hate to be challenged, which is why freedom of speech is banned in most communist countries. The debate you can watch wouldn’t be possible if we were run by communists. The Jordan Peterson vs. Slavoj Zizek debate would be banned in communist countries or there would be limits put on what Jordan Peterson could say. Ask a Russia or a person if they have the same freedoms of speech we have here in Canada?
Great debate, I don’t know if it will swing people to the political Left or Right but I think Jordan Peterson held his own, while Slavoj Zizek basically proved why the modern day Left focuses so much of their attention on race and controlling economic incomes. The one thing I’ll admit that I found annoying about Slavoj Zizek was his assumptions that philosophers he loved or admired were right and everybody should agree that they were right. As you know when you start talking or writing about FREE markets and FREEDOM we on the political Right like to dissect every single word and we hate assumptions. Assuming things typically ends up in consolidation and poverty. Believing that there’s only 1 way to skin a cat is the root cause of human ignorance. we were born free and what life is about is learning from everyone and allowing people to be free.
A major flaw with most Communists is their lack of understanding about price inflation, prices for things rise primarily because of government intervention. Money namely a Gold backed currency or money that’s tied to something tangible historically has crashed when the government intervened. Money is a form of barter and when you’re forced to barter in an equal playing field, what typically becomes apparent is that individuals see the world differently. So while you might be collecting apples from a tree to eat, I might be looking for apple seeds to plant more apple producing trees. Now let’s say there existed no property rights and every time I grew a tree the commune that didn’t assist or help to grow and cultivate these trees because they felt the like doing other non-productive things why should they automatically be entitled to my labor?
The truth is without a republic with Laws that protects my rights the commune, via democratic means can use their voting majority to oppress me the hard worker. Now, every single person individually believes that he or she is equal, but actions speak louder than words and if a hard or a smart worker’s actions aren’t be rewarded, there’s no incentive for those hard working people to contribute to the Commune, furthermore if there’s a democratic process which allows an authority figure to redistribute resources based on an ideology created by atheists or creationists, then the ruling class regardless of how it was formed can in time oppress a minority. China and the United States are both Republics how in the Republic of China where Slavoj Zizek argues the people are happy their justice system has a conviction rate of about 99.9%! Now, anyone can argue or ask the question if the people’s happiness is derived from fear of their communist government.
Communism is Collectivism
There is only one legally-mandated trade union in China, All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU). The ACFTU is primarily under the control and direction of the Chinese Communist Party. Any attempt to establish an independent trade union movement is seen by the Party as a political threat. Now being Canadian I don’t like labor unions, but I do believe they have a right to exist in the Private Sector.
economic ignorance typically occurs because of collectivism, labor unions are often formed to protect workers wages from competition, because instead of the workers or even the Union itself collectively at the very least conspiring to own or recreate the business that’s employing them, they’d instead prefer the method of extorting the owner(s) and forcing those owners to give into their collective financial demands.
Collectivists typically have a hard time thinking outside of the box because their minds are typically fixated on controlling the outcome, which of course is why a Commune by itself is dull, boring and inefficient. There aren’t too many people begging to move into Communist countries. Look at the economic progression of China and there still isn’t any real demand for people to migrate there in comparison to any Western country?
Where I give Slavoj Zizek credit is that he was allowed to attach his name to Jordan Peterson and therefore it could be a net benefit for his communist agenda. I have to say I was really hoping to get some type of substance out of Slavoj Zizek’s communist beliefs, but I was really left feeling cheated, I even rewound some of the words, hoping I’d learn something, unfortunately, for the most part, Slavoj Zizek is spewing the same old Communist rhetoric in a modern format. We on the Right know it, it goes something like this Oh no, no, no, that old Communism was wrong, but this new communism is refined and perfected. What people (namely young naive people, with little real-world experience) should do is educate themselves on this new form commune control over society, hear read this book, listen to this boring message and in time you’ll see that the communists who want to replace those evil capitalists should be the rightful leaders of your society YAWN!!!
Communist basically want to leech off of other people’s labor. If you don’t believe me consider removing Money out of the equation and imagine if everyone got the same prize without doing the same amount of work? How long would it take for everything you take for granted, to be destroyed?
