Justin Trudeau embodies being a ‘tax-and-spend’ Liberal – Running a Deficit, Bailing out Canada Media and even Creating a whole new Tax! – June 8, 2019,
The Crown Corporation known as the CBC is gearing up for the Federal election that’s fastly approaching and the reality is that Leftism is in trouble in Canada, it’s not even just the Liberal Party, that’s losing momentum, Leftism, in general, is being exposed, because of how far the Canadian Leftists have drifted from true Liberalism, which by the way had little to do with Welfare spending and more to do with making sure the government and the Church weren’t one entity, thereby allowing people to be truly free.
Liberalism spread in Canada via Pierre Trudeau he came along after the world declared that they’d had enough of war and wanted peace. Pierre Trudeau embodied quick-witted answers and what appeared to be easy solutions, Pierre Trudeau was also smart enough to get out of politics while he was still ahead. Brian Mulroney, Kim Campbell, Jean Chretien, Paul Martin, Stephen Harper, and Justin Trudeau got stuck with the mess left by Pierre Trudeau. Canada, unlike other developed countries, has the advantage of bordering with the United States.
Essentially Canada should be the richest country on earth, basically in this monetary system if simply allowed our currency to appreciate, Canadian consumers would be the luckiest consumers on planet earth, however, Canadians prefer Center Left and Center Right politics that revolve around growing the size of government. This obsession of ours for a huge Welfare State equates to a lot of high paying public sector jobs that force the Canadian dollar to remain low in comparison to the U.S dollar, this, of course, creates the illusion of wealth in Canada. By manipulating our currency a lot of Public Services in Canada are able to get funded.
The downside to this, however, is that as the public sector grows, as welfare spending grows and as Crown Corporations grow in size, their demands, influences, and expectations grow also, not understanding that this illusion of growth is costing us the productivity of our Private Sector jobs, what’s happening in abundance in Canada is that our media is picking what numbers they use to define a growing economy and a rise in job numbers. An example of what I mean can be understood by reading the article below
Now the title of the above article is actually titled: Economy added 27,700 jobs in May, unemployment rate hits record low: StatCan When people stop looking for jobs, they’re no longer counted, furthermore that above article makes little mention of the types of jobs being created. What we did learn is The number of self-employed workers rose 61,500, while the number of employees fell by 33,800 including a drop of 13,100 public sector employees and 20,700 private sector employees? Now, the reason for the drop in public sector workers, for the most part, is because those jobs were temporary jobs, but did you notice the 20,700 private sector employees number that was dropped? So what exactly are these self employed individuals doing? Uber and Lift drivers, Airbnb, Amazon workers, sex workers and other jobs that usually aren’t counted primarily because It’s often said that more than half of new self-employment business ventures fail during the first year.
But hey, I’m all for optimism! But if people simply stop looking for jobs and they’re not counted, why are we ignoring the other people that stopped looking for jobs before this new set unemployable workers stopped looking became available? It’s not like there weren’t other people prior. In B.C everyone at this point knows there’s a shortage of Nurses, Eastern Canada there’s a shortage of a lot of skilled workers, why because the economic numbers don’t make any sense, the market fundamentals in most parts of Canada are messed up, primarily because of equalization payments.
Now, in America, what’s often the case in many U.S States is that you’ll see a wide fluxation in the cost of living in almost every U.S State, Americans, for the most part, comprehend that there’s a trade-off for living in a small or large city, so as the cost of living rises in one city, Americans will often migrate to a city with a lower cost of living. In Canada, regardless of what province you’re living in, the cost of living will consumer a large chunk of your income, this is mainly why most of the smaller Canadian provinces have trouble growing, because a skilled and/or educated worker in Nova Scotia will see little change in his/her standard or cost of living if they move to a province like Ontario. So even when skilled immigrants land in Nova Scotia, many of them might leave in pursuit of more options. Because higher costs of living limit your options as a consumer, that’s why it’s in the interests of smaller Provinces, towns, and cities to keep the cost of living down as much as possible. But this type of thinking is absent from the Canadian mind, which allows the propagandists to skew the numbers and the politicians to make promises they can’t keep.
So, when Canadians stop looking for work they simply disappear from Canadian data? They don’t consume welfare or public services at all huh? Sure, ok, fine, whatever!
Interestingly enough the rise in self-employment typically results in a change of government, it’s always interesting when people talk about Scandinavian countries being Socialist because many of these Scandinavian countries are opening their markets up more and more. When a person goes to many Scandinavian countries what they’ll notice in comparison to Canada is the number of small businesses that fuel the economies of those Scandinavian countries, one of the most interesting things about Scandinavian countries is their abolishment of minimum wages.
In Canada, higher minimum wages is an expectation, but it’s also a job killer because it doesn’t allow small business entrepreneurs to hire and train people. If you haven’t been paying attention, a lot of these new self-employed jobs are commission based jobs. There’s no wage driving an uber? Driving Uber is commission based, freedom in a developed society revolves around keeping the cost to run the society down. Government employees get paid no matter what. Government workers don’t get paid off of commissions like many of us tax surfs in the Private Sector, their paychecks are almost guaranteed while our paychecks fluctuate and the reality is that Justin Trudeau’s bailouts, his deficit spending his carbon taxes and his virtue signaling have equated to an increase in the cost of living, which is why a lot more people in Canada simply stopped looking for a job.
It’s becoming cheaper to stay in your house and collect welfare. Again let me remind readers Trudeau is running a deficit, deficits lead to inflation, inflation is known as a silent tax because as prices rise for consumers more tax dollars are collected for the government. Now, what Justin Trudeau has proven on multiple occasions is that he’ll use these newly stolen tax dollars to give to corporate entities he belies are worthy of his affection. The CBC is a beneficiary of Trudeau’s tax redistribution scheme, so consider that when reading their article below.
