Published Jul 10, 2023 • Last updated Jul 10, 2023OTTAWA — Another 21,000 federal workers hired since last year has brought the total added to the federal public service since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was first elected to 98,268, according to information published online by the Treasury Board of Canada.
The federal public service, now at 357,247 employees, is nearly 40 per cent larger than it was in 2015, when the Liberals took power, when it counted 257,034 employees.
Many of these young people, as they age, will figure out they’ve been duped; unfortunately, many more will double down on their extremist ideals, imagining that they’re the unique people who will “save the planet” from destruction.
When I was growing up, we learned about climate WARMING; during my era, the argument was that global warming led to Canada being livable. Canada and a large chunk of the United States used to be a large sheet of ice; nobody disputes this. However, in the modern era, a new narrative has been formed, “Climate Change,” the destruction of mankind.
As of the date I’m writing this, there’s a Volcano erupting in Iceland, and there’s nothing humans can do to stop it; smart as we think we are, we’re idiots in the grand scheme of things. There’s an asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. If one of those asteroids decides to hit the Earth, you and I are yesterday’s news, as humans we’re so disorganized that we couldn’t stop an asteroid from destroying us even if we tried.
All sorts of plagues have hit this earth, natural disasters wiped us out long before fossil fuels were a thing. Prior to modern human civilization, there were hundreds of ancient structures, even entire cities, that are now UNDERWATER because humans like to build things near the water, and the climate was changing thousands of years ago also.
Leftists, in general, like to imagine the world as STATIC; for Leftists, the only change they want is change they can CONTROL. Which for me, is emblematic of a “know it all” totalitarian atheist.
The elitists like Trudeau like to play on the stupidity of Leftists. Long story short, Canada opened up its expanded Trans Mountain pipeline, adding 590,000 barrels-a-day of takeaway capacity. Startup is expected in the second quarter this year, according to a spokesperson for the project.
