This is some interesting news regarding the Evergrande Group, I’m not sure how the Chinese Communist Party(CCP) deals with this problem but I’m really curious to find out. Although some people think this is a China problem, it’s actually a global problem and this will be something to pay attention to because the simple fix to this problem is to appreciate the Renminbi, but that would also have the effect of making China uncompetitive, this goes back to the whole Gold standard debate.

Under a Gold Standard a lot of this silly economic and financial government manipulation that fuels this nonsense wouldn’t exist. For myself, it’s tedious looking through the data of fiat-derived products, and China makes it extra hard with their secrecy. So I’m not diving into the specifics of what’s happening with Evergrande Group but it’s U.S dollar-derived debt and this has a Chinese taxpayer bailout written all over it.

I personally don’t even consider the monstrosity in real estate today a “market”, I’m shocked these big government real estate Ponzi schemes lasted this long. I’m very curious however to see how China manages this in the longterm, because if “successful” it will be a blueprint of things to come, because as inflation starts to destroy fiat currencies even at zero percent interest rates, there’s going to be fewer fiat dollars available for leisurely spending.

The fiat currencies of the world have decoupled from labor, so wage earners are screwed over, meanwhile, we’re in a progressive era in which Federal UBI along with existing failed welfare schemes are being normalized, this is an economic collapse waiting to happen, but how this all unfolds is anyone guess.

The challenge for the Marxists is when is the right time to reign in on capitalism, freedoms, and liberties? For Leftists the question is? What time is the right time for a totalitarian rule? If you’re a lover of liberty, you know Marxism doesn’t work, but if you’ve ever met an idiot, you’d know that idiots tend to double, triple, quadruple down on their dumb ideas.

A lot of Marxists, leftists are senior citizens now, do you really think these old farts in the CCP are going to give up on their Communist Utopia? The challenge for them is to avoid a mainland China rebellion, which could take on a mind of its own. During times of desperation humans never react in the manner centralized powers expect us to react and if the Chinese people get used to despair, their overall behavior might change.
