Without Western Canada, not only is Quebec bankrupt, it’s not viable economically as a province. If Quebec leaves Canada, it loses all it’s protectionist welfare regulations from both Canada and the United States.
Most of the tariffs Canada imposes on the United States are because of Quebecers, who have no viable economy without English speaking Canada.
Donald Trump has employed an “American First” policy, and if you ask most of us, it sounds more like a common sense policy, because most of Trumps tariff policies are reciprocal tariffs.
America doesn’t have equalization, so if America took over Canada, Quebec would be the poorest State/municipality in the United States. You can say what you want about U.S. Left Wing states, most of them pay their bills. Quebec doesn’t even try to pay it’s bills.
