Mass Immigration? Cargo theft is surging across the Greater Toronto Area and police Don’t Have The Resources To Stop – January 16, 2020,
Obviously my topics of conversation typically revolve around economics, because in my world, a properly constructed economic policy will shape social harmony and social cohesion. Canada economically is a protectionist nation, we’re also very socialist and for the most part, most of our citizens are disarmed and in many instances have never fired a pistol in their lives. It’s a lot easier for a criminal to get a gun than it is for a law-abiding citizen to get a gun.
Now, because of where Canada is positioned geographically, we enjoy perks and get away economic policies that would be disastrous if we let’s say were situated in the Oceanic regions, if Canada as an example was bordered with China, our current economy at best would mimick Argentina. Now, because of this economic heaven we enjoy, Leftists tend to think that Canada has unlimited resources, to effectively combat all things.
Well, unfortunately, most Leftist voters don’t spend a lot of time in Government offices, whether those government offices, be Municipal, Provincial or Federal, most of Canada’s government offices are bloated with wasteful spending and horrific policies that would have bankrupted us long ago had it not been for our ability to deficit spend. The article below is a reminder of the number of economic protections that exist in the Canadian economy, beneath that article I will begin to explain why mass immigration in protectionist Canada, may not be a good idea in the long term.
An estimated 35 per cent of Canada’s economy is protected from foreign competition, via rules, government intervention and varying interprovincial requirements, according to a new study by Fraser Institute, a Vancouver-based think tank.Protected industries: Why more than a third of the Canadian economy is walled from competition | financialpost.com
Personally, I don’t care too much about immigration, I only care because Canadians have for the most part disarmed themselves and can be jailed for defending themselves and of course there’s the welfare and the huge public sector problem. Now, currently, cargo theft is serging in Toronto, now as a person who’s worked for charities, I know exactly why this is happening, because, in Canada, there’s an assumption by certain things only happen in America.
Well, a lot of crimes began happening in America, when immigrants whether they were European, Latin, Black, east or South Asian immigrants when they land into western countries, they often take their way of thinking with them. So, if a newly arrived immigrant sees a weakness in particular sectors of the economy as well as the law, the immigrant will measure the risk and the reward. In America, you might wonder why in certain U.S States they have a 1 – 3 strike policy and then the individual is locked up for the rest of his or her life? It serves as a deterrent for criminal behavior, well, in Canada, because of what used to be a pretty good immigration system, we didn’t have to deal with particular types of crimes that Americans now have systems in place for.
So, in Canada, we have a lot of Leftists, I know some people in Canada consider themselves Conservatives, but when I hear many Canadians even in Western Canada speak, I hear protectionism oozing out of their pores, I hear entitlement and this or that type of Liberalism is okay with many Canadian so-called Conservatives and this lackadaisical attitude could have profound effects on Canadian major cities if a different approach to immigration is adopted soon. At one point, because of the amount of East Asians in Canada, Toronto was the number one city for counterfeit goods.

Now, without all of this government protectionism, Canada, would be a very, very rich country, realistically Americans are more than willing to serve our needs, the truth is Canada’s standard of living far exceeds that of America and had it not been for protectionist policies the Canadian dollar would be a lot stronger, Canadians wouldn’t be punished for purchasing things from America and our cost of living would be a lot lower, furthermore if Canadian INDIVIDUAL rights and freedoms were respect, particular crimes that exist in Toronto, probably wouldn’t exist, because we’d be united not divided as a country and would boycott particular entities which engage in fraudulent activities and we’d more than likely have more neighborhood and business watch programs in place because with more money and more resources and more prosperity, similar to now, people are incentivized to stop criminals from taking over their society.
Collectivism in Western society creates factions and even if you like socialism, at the very least admit that it’s expensive. So, one of the reasons counterfeiting is so prosperous in Toronto is because the cost of living is expensive. Canadian consumers, know prices for everything are inflated and therefore if they can find a discount they will. The Government legalized marihuana and so far it’s hard for the Weed producers to make a profit, why? Because Canadians aren’t stupid, Government weed is more expensive than private-sector weed and therefore consumers know they’re being robbed so they react to it, by not supporting government regulated weed stores.
Now, Canadians also try to buy alcohol via alternative means, namely via the United States, but for the most part, the government has that industry locked and boxed, now, what happens when these cargo trucks and vans are robbed and their products are sold on the black market is that the Canadian consumer will be glad for the lower prices and this is of course what could cause the problem to get worse.
If prices were priced properly by the market, consumers start to measure the risk. However once the government intervenes and prices skyrocket, people become desperate and this, of course, equates to the unlikelihood of people who otherwise would, wanting to work with the police. What’s the benefit to me, the average Torontonian might ask themselves. Counterfeiting in Toronto has been going on for years and if you look at the cost of living in Toronto you’ll understand why.
Now, new Canadians, who arrive in Canada, are not going to want to complicate their lives by working with law enforcement in instances where they can avoid it. Now, obviously there are a good immigrants coming to Canada, but many come from cultures in which they don’t want to involve government people into their lives, Government complicate your life and for many new immigrants, they’ll only vote for the Liberals or the NDP because there’s something they can gain from it. This of course eventually leads to an economic situation that would require austerity measures, but because the voting class is so uneducated about western values, the voting class will vote to grow the size of government and as I’ve often said, most government agencies have Public sector unions.
Part of the mandate of a public-sector union is to get more money for the people they represent, this, of course, equates to larger deficits for taxpayers and the unlikelihood that socio-economic problems will get solved. Eventually, what happens is there’s a financial crisis, but in Canada, I’m not sure what that will look like because Governments and individuals are indebted and worst than that, I don’t think Old stock Canadians understand what the real problem is, let alone newly arrived immigrants!
