“Say No To Mass Immigration” By True North Strong & Free Advertising Group Billboard For The People’s Party of Canada Taken Down – My Thoughts – August 28, 2019,
Well, first off, I’d like to say, Tim Moen is looking a whole lot better in my book today because, in my view, certain words shouldn’t be used as Billboards. “Say No To Mass Immigration”? How about “Canada can’t AFFORD Mass immigration?”. From a marketing perspective, I understand they were trying to spark some “SHOCK VALUE” but Canada, as it is now, remains a rather insecure country, who fear how they’re perceived by others.
Canada and America do not share the same culture, a large segment of Canadians have a hard time understanding what Freedom of Speech is, in America, Americans push back against any and everything. These push back muscles that exist in the United States are out of shape and flabby to Canadians.
Canadian culture isn’t something that’s going to change overnight with a billboard, you need to engage in dialogue first. It’s a gradual thing and when you’re running a FEDERAL CAMPAIGN, you’ll want to consider demographics, you’ll want to actually take the time to get OUTSIDE OF YOUR CONSERVATIVE bubble. My writings are based on speaking with people, you have to go outside your comfort zone and understand the mood of the Canadian public. Money, when most people think Conservative they think MONEY, saving money, saving taxes, cutting down costs, more money in their pockets and less government involvement in their day to day lives.
“Say No To Mass Immigration” Is a social justice Billboard
I’m not Libertarian but I share many Libertarian viewpoints, my personal viewpoint has always been this, cut welfare, you’ll see an almost immediate drop in immigration. People come to Canada primarily for the free crap we give away. There are plenty of European nations that have a hard time attracting people from Africa, hard work and immigration do not resonate with most people. “Doing hard labor in a foreign country? I think I’ll pass” That’s how the human mind works, most Americans understand this intuitively because they’ve seen it for themselves, this is why when Conservatives in America attack Liberals, they do so from a plethora of angles. Liberal are Lazy, they’ve always been lazy, they’ll always be lazy.
But you see PROTECTIONISM is so intertwined in Canadian society that most so-called Canadian Conservatives prefer the concept of using the STATE to fix problems the market will solve. Canada borders with the United States, American companies are dying to sell Canadians all manners of things which would lower our cost of living tremendously, a lower cost of living means more f the money you make stays in your pocket, a lower cost of living also equates to an appreciating Loonie, an appreciating loonie changes the entire thought process of Canadians as our purchasing power makes America a whole lot cheaper for us, which in regards to starting a business puts us in the drivers seat.
Now, most Canadians have been brainwashed into believing that we have to protect Canadian industries from foreign competition, this brainwashing cames from Canadian corporations, Have people ever listened to Bell Canada’s argument as to why they shouldn’t be subject to America competition? Their argument is actually ridiculous, however, if you’re a Protectionist their argument is valid. Companies like Tim Hortons are distinctly Canadian, Tim Hortons has a hard time turning a profit in the United States, why is this? Protectionism? Know, Tim Hortons understands the Canadian consumer and what we want.
A third-party group with no link to the PPC has bought billboards across the country to call for an end to mass immigration.
What do you think?

Welfare is eating away at workers Retirements
You don’t need shock value to defeat the modern-day Leftist or Liberal. I’m not anti-freedom-of-speech by the way, I think The People’s Party of Canada has the right to post whatever Billboards they want, it’s just I question the IQ level of the people who did this billboard. It’s a social justice billboard plain and simple. When I see that billboard I’m reminded of when Michael Ignatieff made the mistake of assuming that he knew what every Canadian was doing. Michael Ignatieff was your typical Justin Trudeau type Liberal, smug arrogance, a sense of entitlement, very closely aligned with Communistic values and part of one of the most widely known political brands in Canadian politics.
Well, during a national debate Michael Ignatieff made the mistake of talking down to the late Jack Layton, the then wildly recognizable NDP leader that Canadians had watched get defeated time and time again with the same smile on his face. Jack Layton was more beloved in Canadian politics than Michael Ignatieff could ever be. Of course, people like me hated Jack Layton’s politics, but Jack Layton could hold his own and therefore was worthy of respect! The Canadian voter many of whom don’t even like the NDP, voted for Jack Layton just to make Michael Ignatieff feel the pain and embarrassment he was trying to inflict on Jack Layton. Michael Ignatieff’s assumption that the Liberal brand was enough to win him the election, helped to fuel the Conservative Party brand, twenty-second Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper served three terms from 2006 to 2015.
Stephen Harper changed Canadians perceptions about the Conservative Party of Canada, how? focusing on the money, Harper lost to Trudeau in my opinion because the Conservatives started to offer free crap to voters. Canadians aren’t complicated, however, your messaging to voters is extremely important. Some mass migrants are children, some mass migrants are hard-working, som Canadians were at one point in their lives part of a mass migration wave. Sure they may have been legitimate refugees, but the term immigrant or being label as an immigrant or guests in country hurt particular groups of people that can vote. I’m not a huge fan of Canadian democracy but it exists and if you’re going to run a federal campaign, consider the ‘feelings’ of everyone.
Even an immigrant can relate to a slogan that says “Welfare is eating away at workers Retirements”, when you focus on the money everyone gets it, but when you go the social justice road, you’re basically doing the exact same thing Justin Trudeau’s Liberals do, which creates division. Personally, I don’t think the “Say No To Mass Immigration” will hurt Maxime Bernier or the People’s Party of Canada in the long run, but in the short term, I’m interested to see what will happen.
I don’t like the Billboard, I’m actually glad they took it down and I’m glad Maxime had the heart to defend it, because there’s nothing wrong with it. I just think as a Billboard that I’d have to see every single day isn’t a good thing. Because it’s not addressing any financial issues. People want money in their pockets, Canadians like to travel, Canadians like to have the ability to save money, to buy a house, maybe a car, maybe raise a family, money, money, money. This is a federal election, Canadians are in serious debt, how about reminding Canadians that their entitlements are at risk, “Say No To Mass Immigration” come on? Some creativity please!
Some of you People’s Party supporters are going to want me to be a cheerleader for Maxime no matter what. F*ck every single one of you, I call it like I see it. I’ve even heard of Maxime Bernier wanting to attract socialists and NDP supporters, I know south Asians who are Conservative to the core and they’ll be voting for Jagmeet Singh because he shares their or a similar skin complexion as they do. The NDP has always had racists in their party, whether they’re white, east or south Asian a nativists is a nativist to me and all of it revolves around Protectionism.
A lot of Trump’s tariff trade policies, as well as his immigration policy already exist in Canada. Canada already has a merit-based immigration system, Donald Trump is actually trying to mimic Canadian values, which is why if you listen to most American Libertarians they’re on the Fence with Donald Trump, well I’m on the fence with the long term vision of the Peoples Party of Canada. “Say No To Mass Immigration” it’s a social justice billboard plain and simple. Ukraine any? How about Lithuania or Estonia? Welfare (a form of protectionism) attracts economic leeches, Canada has long been promoting itself as a country with a generous welfare system.
A large segment of old stock Canadians might not realize this, but many of you have been socially engineered to lower your birthrates, this was orchestrated a long time ago and is embedded into Canadian and many other Western cultures. For many white Canadians, you assume that we need more migrants because white people won’t do certain jobs. This is, of course, a lie and is promoted by Lazy WHITE Liberals(in Canada they’re often from Quebec), but you see you’d have to see how welfare and protectionism is hurting Western Europeans as a whole to even comprehend the argument for individualism, which if you get to know your fellow Canadian, you’d understand most Canadians mentally aren’t there yet.
This is not an endorsement of Scheer, but if people would actually listen to Stephen Harper, one of his political approaches revolved around gradual Conservatism. New ideas can be devesting to people who’ve been brainwashed to view the world a certain way. Again we live in a democracy, people can cast ballots and create laws which prevent you from speaking out, a large portion of Canadians think certain words and certain thoughts should be banned, these people exist and I don’t advise that Canadians take the Donald Trump approach to Canadian politics.
Americans are used to their freedom of speech, the left in America is embarrassed by Donald Trump but they know legally there’s nothing they can do to stop him, Imagine for a second Trump was a Canadian politician? Chance are you probably can’t because Canadian and American POLITICAL culture is different. Thought crimes exist the mostly Liberal U.S States, thought crimes exist all over Canada, we’ve been coddled by the Canadian Nanny State, have Canadian men taken a serious look at testosterone levels? When you’re running a federal election, consider keeping what I wrote in this post in mind.
The Roxham Road debacle, why is it happening, they’re welfare shopping, that’s all that’s happening, these so-called economic migrants are now getting free housing, this is putting a strain on the welfare system, you don’t need to use the “Say No To Mass Immigration” social justice slogan. Remind Canadians that they risk losing their retirements, losing their welfare benefits, losing their jobs, their livelihoods, remind Canadiabs that they’re having their taxes extracted from them to appease an EXPENSIVE globalist agenda. To the people at the PPC consider getting out more, talk with people who don’t agree with you, get to know people. Consider learning about Austrian Economics.
