Mass Shooting in Nova Scotia Canada: Gunman kills at least 9 in rampage across Nova Scotia – April 19, 2020,
I feel for my fellow countrymen who lost love ones during this time. I’m not going to write too much about this until I learn more about this story. This happened in Portapique, Nova Scotia a rural area that has only 100 residents in normal times and 250 residents during the summer season. based on what I’ve read the lunatic shooter killed almost 10% of the population of Portapique, Nova Scotia.
I have friends who live in rural areas and they’ve told me about some of the craziness that happens out there and how hard the Canadian government makes it for them to survive. I live in a major city and I think Canadians really need to review some of these FEDERAL gun control laws. Personally I think municipalities should be responsible for any and all gun control laws.
This one size fits all approach to gun control creates problems for law-abiding citizens. Canada’s population density is 11 people per square mile/4 people per Square Kilometre. until city-dwelling Canadians get out of their comfort zones they won’t comprehend what it means when it comes to reliance on the Government for self-defense.
It’s not to say I’m not appreciative for Canadian police, but criminals aren’t usually this brazen when they know everyday citizens can protect themselves. I live in Toronto, the ‘thugs’ I see walking around the streets of Toronto are only intimidating to law-abiding Canadian men because we have to wait for the police to show up in order to defend ourselves from them, otherwise these criminal thugs are laughable morons, who’d be easier to civilize if we were allowed to act like men.
Defending yourself in Canada against a delinquent can land you in jail. If the person is of another ethnicity they could say you racially profiled them or were a racist towards them and this could turn your self-defense claim into a human rights issue.
I get it, I know Leftists and many Canadians want a Nanny State, but well, let’s just hope there are no more mass shootings in Canada, where individuals with guns legal or illegal deciding to take their mental health issues out on law-abiding citizens! I don’t want this scumbag piece of crap who killed innocent people to be remembered.
