Did Maxime Bernier burns bridges with the Conservative Party? – August 27, 2018

To start, allow me to point something out that I’ve been doing in a few of my recent posts, which is referring to The Conservative Party of Canada as the Progressive Conservatives. In 2003 from what I’m being told is that The Conservative Party of Canada was formed by merging The Progressive Conservatives and The Canadian Alliance. When doing my research on this topic it came to my attention why my personal ideals are not aligned with The Conservative Party of Canada.

Within the framework of both The Progressive Conservatives and The Canadian Alliance is a common theme which is social conservatism or a centre-right political stance. When reading this it came to my attention that in fact, I was the problem, I was the person trying to change a political party whose ideas were already set in stone.

When I hear or read the words conservatism I have the horrible habit of assuming that these individuals believe that economics, barter, trading and debating often cures social issues. For me when you trade and volunteer and gove freely and live your life this way inevitably you become a better person. If you go to Japan as an example even with their crazy cost of living theft is not a huge problem there. In fact, there are many stories where people could leave a $1000USD iPhone in a public park or a restaurant for weeks and nobody will touch or if a Japanese citizen finds it they place it in a lost a found area.

Most East Asians understand the Free market, even if the east Asian country opts for socialism they still understand the importance of free market principals which allows them the flexibility to change in the event their economy comes to ruin. This is very similar to my stance on how to cure social issues within society. I’m a believer that the free market will cure social problems. I don’t believe it’s the government’s job to cure social problems. Japan doesn’t have an immigration problem, because their welfare system revolves around familialism, what’s familialism you ask? It’s a conservative philosophy where it’s your families job to take care of you, not the government’s job.

What familialism does in Japan is it creates no incentive for anyone who doesn’t understand the free market to immigrate there. The Japanese public will not be held responsible for the needs or demands of the immigrant population. In Canada, however, our government takes a different approach to welfare, welcoming immigrants and also offering them free welfare programs to help them get started, now, of course, a lot of people never get started and to make matters worse the Canadian government also raises the barrier to enter in the Canadian workforce as well as raising the cost to start a business. Minimum wage laws in most Canadian provinces prevent certain jobs from ever being created.

Now, if no low skilled jobs are being created why shouldn’t any low skilled Canadian not opt for welfare? Regarding Canada’s population growth not growing one answer could revolve around daycare, because the government raised wage regulations the cost to take care of Canadian children also got a raise, which of course leads to higher IQ Canadians waiting longer before having children, while on the other hand lower IQ or younger Canadians who may have been privileged enough to have parents who received some form of government assistance typically don’t view child baring in the same fashion as would a working middle class Canadian. So, of course, those on the government dole tend to have multiple Children to avoid ever working a job.

Of course, political parties like the NDP and Liberals will fight to make sure these welfare recipients have more than enough money to not only survive but to thrive like hard-working Canadians and this is where I’ve always had a problem with The Conservative Party of Canada. Because for the most part The Conservative Party of Canada does very little to combat these problems which is why when most Canadians look at The Conservative and the Liberals the better political party is the Liberals because if you listened to Justin Trudeau’s campaign he said he would borrow, tax, spend, grow the government and give away free stuff, The Conservative message was basically the same message as the Liberals except they would do little less of the aforementioned.

As a person that leans towards the political right, I can fully comprehend the arguments of both The Conservative Party of Canada and the Justin Trudeau’s Liberals, however, the average Canadian can’t tell the difference. The average Canadian wants to know what’s in it for them and the average Canadian has accepted that this is just how things have to be for their standard of living to be maintained, which again is why if you talk to a lot of Canadians a lot of them have pessimistic outlooks on life.

Coal and threats from Saudi Arabia

As many of my readers know I’m a huge fan of renewable energy, however, I’m very honest about it, I’ve always said I prefer an energy diverse economy, now one of the reasons why it’s not a good idea to completely faze out Coal, something Stephen Harper did is because during periods of war guess what fossil fuel is the best? Coal! Well, recently Saudi Arabia or at least an entity who felt the need to make a tweet on Saudi Arabia’s behalf tweeted an image of a Plane that was headed in the CN Towers direction.

The way Canada’s economy is structured right now, I’m not a fan of Trudeau’s social justice stances towards other nations. Justin Trudeau’s was quite arrogant when he replied to Canada’s responsibilities regarding NATO! Basically blaming Stephen Harper where necessary and not making any concrete plans to contribute it’s fair share to NATO. Recently and I’m adding the Fox Youtube video below Trump signed a trade deal with Mexico.

What does this mean for Canada? I couldn’t tell you, all I can say is that Social Justice hasn’t been working for Justin Trudeau’s Feminist Liberal Cabinet. So far and the Conservatives Feminist leader Andrew Scheer would be wise to pay attention. That said I don’t think Maxime Bernier burned bridges with The Conservative Party what I think is that Maxime Bernier came to the same realization that I recently came to which is his views aren’t aligned with The Conservative Party of Canada and it’s best he leave. I agree I have to leave The Conservative Party of Canada too. I’m more against the tit-for-tat tariff, the supply-side-management issue I’m on the fence about, I don’t like it,
I’m not a fan of it but if idiotic Canadians want to pay more to buy Canadian that’s open to debate.

I certainly don’t but, I speak for myself, my problem is that when Canada went tit-for-tat with the tariff’s it put us in a position where we could no longer negotiate because we were basically telling our most important trading partner that negotiations on this issue were closed. If Justin Trudeau or any of his cabinet ministers had ever run a successful brick and mortar business that faced challenges, they’d know this was a stupid move, making matters worse was The Conservative Party of Canada who backed Trudeau’s decision.

when I heard The Conservative Party of Canada did this I couldn’t believe it, it floored me, but again this was my fault because I didn’t do my research on the history of The Conservative Party of Canada. If I were Bernier I would distance myself from The Conservative Party of Canada, which is a position I’m going to take going forward. I’d like to apologize to my readers for not do in-depth research on the history of today’s current Conservative Party of Canada.

Going forward when writing on politics I will be focusing strictly on political issues and my views on these political issues. No party politics. Being that the U.S has officially signed a deal with Mexico it should be interesting to see Canada’s response. I’ve been talking about an economic crash for quite some time now, I personally think it’s better the crash happen in Canada now rather than later because things are really getting bad structurally for the Canadian economy. If the crash happens later it will be way more difficult to solve the problems.

Interesting times ahead.
