Paul Alex, and Gedam Yonas created “Merchant Automation” currently found at MerchantAutomation.com, it’s legit, but “Merchant Services” is not an easy business, so if you take them up on their offer, don’t assume there’s a clear path to profits.
When you’re dealing with “Merchant Services” or anything in the financial sector, you’re dealing with a lot of government regulations. On average, salespeople who are ACTIVE in the Merchant Services industry make about $35K-$75K per year, and there is nothing around how tough that business is because when you’re dealing with Merchant Services, you’re dealing with Small business people, many of whom are already being financially squeezed, and your job if you want to be profitable will be to squeeze them some more while offering VALUE.
Recently, a McDonald’s in San Francisco was forced to close its doors because of the minimum wage hike, the crime, and the customer’s unwillingness to observe the higher prices associated with that government price control mechanism.
I bring this up because this is where being in the “Merchant Services” business gets really tough; your clients can leave, and those commissions don’t come easy, which is why, prior to taking up Merchant Automation.com on their offer, consider doing Merchant Services as a sales professional to get a better idea of what you’re getting yourself into.
The best thing about sales is that you get free on-the-job training. I’ve never liked wage jobs because you learn more under sales and mentorship jobs. Who cares if you get rejected? Remind yourself that you’re doing a job, and the goal of the sales professional is to get better with every rejection. I don’t think MerchantAutomation.com is legit, but there are a lot of sales positions for this profession, and you’d be wise to learn sales first, which would make a lot more money once you graduate to making Merchant Services a business.
A reminder that if you decide to get into Merchant Services you’ll be competing with “Stripe.” I use Stripe, and I have zero intention of leaving because they have everything I need, with little headache. Not to see you can’t be successful with Merchant Automation, but do yourself a favor a do a sales job in Merchant Services first to learn while you earn. This will open your eyes to the business to get a clear picture of what’s actually going on behind the scenes.
