If Quebec ever left the Federation of Canada, it’s replacement would be British Colombia, I know most people would say Eastern Canada, I say it would be British Colombia, which from my perspective is Canada’s equivalent to California. Currently, I think BC is in its early stages of being Califonia where their replacement for Silicon Valley is overvalued real estate but we’ll wait around, maybe in a few years, B.C will have Homeless people taking sh*t on the streets.
People often forget how quickly civilization can diminish and revert back to the days of old. When cracks start to form those cracks are rarely ever fixed by the government. Sure the private sector solves problems al the time but when you create silly laws like carbon taxes which let’s be clear is nothing more than a stimulus package for a few rich people who fund scientific research.
As we all know water pollution is a lot worse than air pollution, however cleaning up the ocean is easy, it’s also cheap and in many ways a lot more fun as it’s basically a janitorial job, that if humans decided to fix, would be fixed within 8 – 10 years. Climate change, that on the other hand is something that’s subjective, something that globalists and Governments all over the world can use to raise sales and income taxes on humanity basically enslaving us for something that’s always existed.
Climate change is a hoax, but it will take Leftist morons a long time to figure it out, mainly because a lot of Leftist want to feel like their part of something special or they’re fighting the good fight for humanity. You know paying to have a problem fixed feels a lot better to most people than actually doing the work necessary to fix the problem.
The main reason I’m writing this post is because of a comment made by “Marc Lee, a senior economist with the left-leaning think tank the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives” who said the following:
said from his perspective, Metro Vancouver’s fuel price woes have little to do with gasoline, and everything to do with “gouging” on the part of suppliers.
“[The remainder] are these non-tax factors, so some of that is the higher price of crude oil, but we’ve seen these larger mark-ups being taken by refineries, and a little bit on the retailer side as well.”
Lee argued that the Vancouver region gets the bulk of its gas from the Parkland refinery in Burnaby and three refineries in Edmonton, who he said steadily boosted their margins over the last decade.
“I would argue that oil producers are gouging consumers because they can, because it’s good for their bottom line.”
He said B.C. should emulate other Canadian provinces like Nova Scotia, which uses government bodies to regulate the price of fuel.

First thing I’d like to touch on is that Nova Scotia is a “have not province” the Maritimes in Canada, for the most part, are extremely bland places to live, at least in BC, the Leftists are still nuts, in Canada’s Maritimes, the current reality is they’re in a situation where they shot themselves in the foot years ago. The thing about Leftism, namely Pierre Trudeau style Leftism is that it needs income and growth to feed off of in order to sustain itself.
It even took Quebec sometime before it turned into a perpetual have not Province, with all the debt in Ontario, what allows it to survive is the fact that people from all over Canada and the world keep on migrating here. Nova Scotia, on the other hand, uses government bodies to regulate the price of fuel, because if it didn’t it too would have to pay its fair share of Gasoline, but instead what Nova Scotia does is it uses collectivism to artificially keep the price of Gas down, which means it still pays high prices, it’s just that the money is redistributed which also contributes to why there’s no excitement to move there.
Now being that Marc Lee is a Leftist, it should be clear that he’s going to assume that there’s no trade-off for a carbon tax. That’s the thing about Leftists, are they think when the government enacts a law in a society rooted in freedom, that there won’t be any consequences? Don’t Gas trucks use gas to bring the Gas to the Gas pumps?
Now, it’s important to understand that businesses, namely large scale businesses produce a lot of greenhouse-gas emissions, now when this process happens the government raises their costs, now the assumption by a Leftist is that these greenhouse-gas emitters don’t employ anyone or that they don’t already have tight margins. Most greenhouse-gas emitters are paying for Canadians welfare checks, paying for Canadians pensions and also huge contributors to Income taxes. Now, even prior to Justin Trudeau becoming Prime Minister it was a well-known fact that he met with Billionaires and Canadian elites basically explaining his carbon tax plan to them.

It’s extremely important to understand that if a Leftist politician is viewed as Fidel Castro type, the largest contributors to Canadian income taxes will simply leave our country. So when these large companies get hit with Carbon Tax, they pass the cost onto the medium-sized business, which passes the cost onto the consumer. If you believe climate change is real, a carbon Tax is by far the dumbest way to fix it. There really isn’t anything complicated about what’s happening to B.C, the interesting thing about B.C is that their very low property taxes have actually helped in fueling their commercial real estate market.
It’s a shocker to me that B.C still wants CMHC, anyway high commercial costs which of course equates to higher leasing, mortgage, renting costs plus a $13.85 minimum wage set to rise in consecutive years, which obviously means more money to pay for Gas attendants and all other business-related costs including of course sales taxes, theft, and all other expenses justify the cost, Gas companies are in the business to make a profit and wasn’t the whole carbon tax thing about trying to get people stop driving and emitting carbon? It’s always odd to me how the Leftist brain works.
