Mexico to consider all actions in response to Canadian steel tariffs – October 22, 2018

When Trump gave Canada the option to take a Bilateral trade deal I was the one that said Canada should take it and now Canadians are beginning to see that I was right. The article below is something you may want to consider reading:

Mexico to consider all actions in response to Canadian steel tariffs – Reuters

People all over the world are only now starting to see the method to Donald Trump’s madness. Only now are Canadians starting to see why Mexico made it a mission to hammer out a trade deal with the United States. People forget that the Mexican President spent weeks, days, hours with the Trump administration hammering out a trade deal with the United States. To Mexico’s surprise, we arrogant Canadians were a no-show.

Our leader Justin Trudeau and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Chrystia Freeland showed up when it was convenient to them, played what they believed to be the same political games trump was playing, picked fights with Saudi Arabia, danced and whore fancy costumes in India, demanded China stop polluting and did other questionable things that as of today at least haven’t bared much fruit.

Because of our arrogant attitudes to economics, Trump found a way to get a deal done with Mexico without the assistance of Canada at which time Trump then decided that a deadline for Canada was a far better option than simply waiting for us to respond, something we didn’t have to do because of the NAFTA agreement prior to the signing of USMCA was still a binding contract.

Anyway, we signed the new US, Mexico, Canada Agreement and well, we didn’t exactly read all the details, I mean really who in their right mind is going to read those silly terms and conditions right? Well, unfortunately not included in the USMCA deal was steel and aluminum and what a lot of Canadians have a hard time to understanding about our Steel and aluminum industry right here in Canada is that most of our steel producers right here in Canada are foreign-owned companies whose primary purpose for being here is to sell to the U.S consumer.

People in Canada forget that the Canadian Loonie is low not because of the market? No, the Canadian loonie is low as an incentive for large corporations who are targeting U.S customers to use Canada as their place of residence instead of the United States. So when Donald Trump used the National Security excuse as a reason to put a tax on Canadian steel was he lying?

Personally, I’m a free market guy, I want all of these protections removed, but similar to Milton Friedman at times I will base my arguments on the present day. Now, if Canada wants to enjoy its social-corporatism economy in the future it would be wise for Canada to only sign bilateral trade deals. Mexico and other countries have a right to file a grievance against Canada because we have a lot of Globalist deals all over the place, all of these multilateral trade deals, of course, have clauses in them, but then what’s the point? why not just sign a bilateral trade deal so if a country charges you a tariff you charge them a tariff, if we want to charge a tariff then the country we’re doing business with can charge their own tariff.

It’s really that simple, economics is simply bartering, once three people start to barter transaction things get complicated, especially when you start dealing with different cultures. Donald Trump gave us the opportunity of a lifetime we said no and now things are going to get very interesting

Interesting times ahead.
