Whether it’s Israel, China, or a Western country flirting with authoritarianism, censorship is never neutral. It reshapes how people think, act, and relate to one another. The Kingdom of God is voluntary—not imposed. When you control speech, you alter behavior. But our God does not force Himself on us. He invites. He convicts. He corrects. But He does not coerce.
Which is why, as Christians, we are especially sensitive to the tools of coercion being adopted under the banner of “security” or “order.” Mass surveillance is not just a tech policy—it’s a worldview.
A Call to Preparation, Not Panic
