If The NDP Won Alberta Provincial Election It Might Fuel Western Separatism – Alberta NDP will ask UCP to condemn Western separatism – November 2, 2020,
The Alberta New Democratic Party is attempting to split the vote provincially, but trying to get Jason Kenney to do what he’s already done several times, which is to condemn Western separatism. Although on the surface this might seem wise, I’ve read a lot of comments from Albertans, I’ve listened, a lot of them are at their breaking points and I’d like to remind the reader that America safely has around 80 million Conservatives who wholeheartedly believe in the U.S Constitution.
I say this mainly because a lot of people currently living in North America will never be Socialists. Obviously, Leftism attracts people with what most people imagine to be easier to imagine answers, but in practice, socialism falls flat on its face because a big government can’t provide everyone with an incentive to be productive.
The right to work is something Leftists have a hard time understanding, most productive people don’t want to be wage slaves and if you force particular groups of people into becoming wage slaves, they either change locations, change behavior or work less for their task master.
Lack of productivity for the purposes of government taxes leads to stagnation and shortages, and there’s nothing money can do about that. As a Conservative, I already do a lot of Bartering, I’ve also visited countries with useless currencies, and what the people in those nations do is they focus on education, markets, and inclusiveness, meaning their money and resources don’t leave their communities.
Albertans seem to have unwavering support for the Conservative Party which hasn’t benefitted them, the problem is of course, will Albertans be willing to take the risk of splitting the vote Provincially, which is a long term approach that might involve more short term pain. I think most Conservatives have gotten used to Justin Trudeau at this point, I think most of us know the Canadian economy is going to crash because of Justin Trudeau’s policies, but when things get really bad, is the safe bet the best bet, or is that the time to throw your hat into Canada’s “Brexit” party?
In the U.K Brexit happened gradually because of bad economic policies, Brexit wasn’t an overnight success. People had been talking about it, and eventually, people had enough and said to themselves what do we have to lose? Albertans in my opinion have to get to the mental space of what do we have to lose in order to break ties with the UCP and I personally don’t know if Albertans are there yet because I believe even some of the people who would be for separation are still a bit scared of voting the road less traveled.
Albertans got really mad when they got the Rachel Notley experience, Rachel Notley along with Justin Trudeau actually helped to fuel Western Seperatism and the Alberta NDP appear to be helping to fuel it again. Although the Alberta provincial elections are a long ways away at present, the Albertan voter appears to be wiser than before and I feel the same way about Biden winning the 2020 election as I would feel if The NDP won a provincial election, I think it’s going to fuel Conservatives to be more politically and economically strategic.
Once people see a Western Separatist winning a seat and having a voice, it changes EVERYTHING! I’ve argued the same is true for the People’s Party of Canada. I do not think we’re in the reform party era all over again, I believe we are in a historic period in which political battle lines are drawn and people on the right begin taking a long-term approach to voting.
I’m still of the opinion that gradual is better the rushing separatism, the growth of Western Separatism should be based on demand and not ONLY fueled by anger, I think it’s better that Albertans conceptualize Western Separatism before diving into it and I think that’s what the NDP is helping to do.
Interesting times ahead
