To start I hope Conservatives can learn something after reading this post, what I want Conservatives to understand is that Protest or Protesting isn’t as easy as it looks. The protestors typically have chants which are only a FEW WORDS IN LENGTH and these chants are intentionally short so onlookers or the media can immediately grasp what the protest is all about, furthermore the most important portion of the protest in the MARCHING, the marching means the people aren’t standing the still they’re walking towards some area in which the protestors will gather and their thought leaders will often make a speech before ending the protest.
The mistake the counter-protestors who were on their private property made was trying to say too much in a short span of time. The news media attempted to frame the story in a manner the =y thought would get the most eyeballs, but if you look at the counterprotest, you see it for what it is, which was a horribly constructed counterprotest.
I’m not sure what the man was trying to accomplish with his knee on the back of another man, but it looked silly, the man doing it looked silly and the individuals with the Trump Sign looked rather bewildered as they observed the protestors marching down the street. Had that man with the knee on the other mans back not done that and yelled whatever the heck he yelled, the news media would have had nothing.
It’s an uncomfortable truth that Conservatives have little experience with protesting and therefore many of them don’t understand how difficult it is. Keeping the energy high at a protest isn’t easy, sure Black Americans make it appear easy, but people forget that Black Americans have been PEACEFULLY protesting for over 100 years.
Being honest I can’t make out what the Trump supporters are saying, I wish I could because then I’d be able to write a better post, but I can’t confirm what the man said, all I know is that he looked outside of his element, seeing a PEACEFUL protest from afar or watching a protest on TV is different than seeing a protest up close.
When you see a protest up close, the reality settles in that the people involved in the protest are passionate about what they’re protesting about. It’s not about whether I think it’s right or wrong, they’re protesting something that’s important to them and they have a right to do it!
A Trump rally as an example, people who oppose Trump are drowned once they’re face to face with the people who are supporters of Trump. Your opposition is never as simple as you imagine them to be. If your opposition has a following, then that following feels like it has a purpose and it’s unlikely that you’re going to kill the spirit of your opposition when they’re at their apex.
To me what the counterprotesters did, even if it was done with good intentions, was done with little thought. As a conservative writer, I like to point out the flaws with Conservatives, we assume that Liberals have consumed the same information we accept as the truth, sorry to tell you, they haven’t!
Liberals don’t want to accept our truth, many will die before accepting our truth, which is why part of being a Conservative is being productive and innovative. In the end, Leftists are all about the confiscation of private property and individual liberties, which is why, in my opinion, those Trump supporters would have been better off simply watching the protestors march.
There is no reason to feed into the mob, there’s no reason to get emotional when you see a Liberal, the Leftists have to throw the first punch, they need us, we don’t need them. It takes some conservatives a lifetime to figure out that Liberals follow us all over the planet, Liberals destroy something and after they do it, they follow us and then try to change us into being like them.
I’ve personally seen plenty of protests I didn’t agree with, I simply watched, it’s a protest as long it’s not a violent protest, I have no problem with it, now for myself personally, the protests I hate the most are the protests that catch me while I’m in a car, because now I’m trapped and I’m at the mercy of the protestors, but these people in their private property weren’t trapped, they could have chosen to ignore the protestors, the protestors didn’t enter their property, but instead these counterprotesters attempted to change the minds of the marching protestors with ’30-second reenactment?’ of something?
Not smart in my opinion, a quick reminder to Conservatives whether you like it or not, Protesting isn’t as easy as it appears to be!
