Not entirely sure if I should be taking the interview below serious, maybe it was supposed to be comedic? But for me, it sounded very delusional on the part of Stephen Ledrew. It almost sounded entitled, The scary thing about what Stephen Ledrew said in this interview from my standpoint was his view on war, first mentioning that he believes America will be forced to help us out in the event the Philippines attacks us and secondly that our treatment of Filipino Canadians is enough to stop Duterte from attacking us. Now, in all honesty, I’m not taking the Duterte threat seriously either, but I always find Liberal smug, arrogant, delusion something to behold

As a country, is the thinking that we don’t have to worry about our Canadian military personnel because the U.S is there to protect us? If this is the case, shouldn’t we be first in line to pay our fair share to NATO? Justin Trudeau completely dismissed Donald Trumps calls for NATO allies to contribute their contractually agreed upon amount to The North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Now, that there’s a threat of violence against Canada, Liberal Lawyer, broadcaster and former Liberal Party of Canada President Stephen Ledrew says that America will defend us and Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte won’t shoot on is own people, when he’s been killing his own people ever since he took office?
Again maybe I’m missing the humor in all of this, but for a person like me it comes across as delusional. The reason why collectivist countries typically don’t fight for their homelands is that welfare makes a lot of people question if a country is worth fighting for. If the Philippines attacks Canada, Canadians namely Canadian men should be saying bringing it on! We don’t care if they outnumber us, if the Philippines wants a war, let’s give it to them. Instead what I’m hearing from former Liberal President Stephen Ledrew is if war comes to Canadian shores we have little to worry about because the United States will save us. DISGUSTING, I’m personally disgusted by the comment, my hope is that the above video was a comedy skit that I’m too old to comprehend.
If you’re a Canadian and you’re not willing to fight for your homeland, you should be disgusted with yourself as a man. If a large number of Canadians aren’t willing to fight against any threat to our homeland, my theory on welfare is true. In a volunteer society, even if I have social problems with my neighbor, he’s still my neighbor he’s still my countrymen and if his Liberties are threatened so are mine, you go to war with him, you’re going to war with me. I genuinely hope I’m overreacting to that video because watching Stephen Ledrew made my skin crawl.
