Political Posturing or did Justin Trudeau grow a pair: Justin Trudeau Says China detained Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor in ‘political decision’ over Meng arrest – June 22, 2020,
Can you imagine being a Canadian and locked up in a Chinese jail as a political response to the Canadian government doing America’s bidding and basically kidnapping Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou. I personally do not like all of these trilateral and multilateral deals Canada is involved in.
If you’re not going to go, full communist, a country has to be careful with how it structures its ECONOMIC socialism. In many European countries that former 2020 U.S Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders claimed he wanted to mirror his democratic socialism around, there exists no federal minimum wage, primarily because even when you have a welfare State you have to as a federal government be the example of economic policies that keep the people working and being productive.
Welfare is supposed to be for people who are working but aren’t making enough to achieve the countries standard of living. When a country has a minimum wage it’s actually made the decision to disincentive job creation and it’s actually giving people an excuse not to be productive, furthermore Liberal Party of Canada brand of Socialism has grown the government to a point in which if it were to shrink, it could take decades to rebuild certain industries, namely manufacturing.
Now, because Canada doesn’t manufacture things like it used to Justin Trudeau was forced to make the following statement:
Trudeau said it’s also clear China has considerable economic weight and has been using that to try to pressure Canada into releasing Meng through imposing sanctions on some agricultural exports.

Now although Trudeau only mentions agriculture, the truth is Canada has become very reliant on Chinese. Although I write about topics many find to be minuscule like the minimum wage law, the more people become unproductive the harder it is for Canada’s public sector to remain solvent.
If there were to be serious economic disruptions between Canada and China, Canada’s government will be in a world of trouble trying to explain to Canadians how economically dependent Canada has become on China.
It’s currently unseen for the most part how many Chinese finished goods are in your Canadian homes, but environmentalists who want to make it seem like if all Canada did was go green everything would be fine, have no idea how much energy and manpower it would take for Canada to be self-sufficient.
Why I mention this in closing is that Trudeau, in my opinion, began negotiations regarding Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor all wrong. In fact, Canada shouldn’t have kept Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou. Had Trudeau and Freeland not been virtue signaling, they could have used Meng Wanzhou as leverage for trade talks with the United States.
But instead, Chrystia Freeland and Justin Trudeau wanting to appear tough against Trump with the media, delayed trade negotiations with Donald Trump as went Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor rotted away in Chinese prisons. Canada had all the leverage during NAFTA but Chrystia Freeland and Justin Trudeau approached the entire situation incorrectly and now here we are, Trudeau all of sudden starts to talk tough against China when a simple phone call to the U.S president probably could have led to the release of 1 of the two Micheals released!
Regardless of your political affiliations, in America Trump lost the popular vote and a lot of Americans view Trump as a bully, Canada kidnapped a woman for Trump, if Trudedeau threatened to release Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou ask yourself what could Trump really do about it? Do you not think the U.S Left-Wing media mob wouldn’t see things from Trudeau’s perspective? Trudeau is, after all, a feminist, right?
Anyway, Hopefully, this situation with Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor improves! If you’re a Canadian who loves to travel, you should be paying close attention to this story, because this is part of the reason why you vote for Federal leaders! Their handling of these situations, give you an indication of your own fate if you were to be kidnapped in another country!
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says it is clear that China detained Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor in an “obvious” attempt to put “political pressure” on Canada for the arrest of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou. If the U.S wants Meng Wanzhou let their people do their own dirty work, keep Canada out of it! I hope the Little potatoe grows a pair!
