Poll suggests The Conservative Party of Canada has failed to clearly articulate positions on social issues – June 28, 2020,
When your political party is a Conservative Party by name only and you attempt to appeal to the swing voters, it’s unlikely that social issues will matter to these people anyway. Swing voters are just that, they swing, swing voters may vote for a political party for only a few reasons and in their minds they would have already made up their minds based on their current economic conditions.
Because the Conservative Party of Canada, for the most part, Conserves Liberal Party of Canada policies, most of Canada’s swing voters imagine the Conservatives to simply be better managers of the Liberal Party of Canada promises. A lot of what Pierre Trudeau did socially for Canada still remains enforced to this very day.
Former Prime Ministers of Canada Stephen Harper and Brian Mulroney did little to undo any Liberal Policies, what they did do is find a more effective and economic way to py for Liberal economic disasters and this ultimately is why Canada like many other countries continues to go further to the political Left.
In regards to social issues like abortion for example, how many female voters are there really in Canada walking around killing babies every year? Women who kill babies and want other women to be able to kill babies aren’t swing voters, they’ll be voting NDP or Liberal by default, people who believe in Climate Change are voting for the NDP, the Greens or the Liberals, there is nothing the Conservatives can do about this baby killing climate change crowd, their minds are already made up, so pandering to them would be asinine if you ask me.
I’m a People’ Party of Canada supporter so when I get a call from a polling company I hang up the phone, because in most instances there’s not even an option that addresses issues that I find important, so most of the people being polled in these polls have already made up their minds for which popular political party they’re going to support.
I’m not saying polls should be abolished, what I’m writing is if you follow the polling data, you’re not going to understand what your base and the swing voters want. Everyone including the socialists want better economic conditions, the challenge for the Conservative Party is to present themselves in a manner the people understand and can resonate with.
As long as the Conservatives run the right candidate they should win by default, but I don’t think the Conservative Party of Canada is there yet, as it stands now, I do think Justin Trudeau could win a third term. Because Donald Trump has been giving Americans a lot of free fiat dollars, Justin Trudeau’s excessive taxpayer-funded spending has gone unlooked and unchecked.
I’ve listened to these economic theories by Americans who would like to see an end to America having the worlds reserve currency, but these individuals fail to observe what’s happening in countries like Canada, in which not only is our government spending money like crazy, but there is are no economic policies in place to pay this money back.
As the U.S dollar is diluted via the printing press, people at least for now appear to be loading up on U.S denominated assets, which as dumb as it sounds, makes sense when you compare the Donald Trump-led U.S economy to as an example a Justin Trudeau led Canadian economy.
As this Covid-19 dissolves into a deadly flu virus, there will be hell to pay for all the free Trudeau cash giveaways and at this point, I’d say conservatively Canada’s public sector will be about 65-70% of the entire economy. Which means the private sector will be about 35% at best of the entire Canadian economy. The private sector can go bankrupt, the public sector doesn’t, this is often how government percentage growth sneaks up on people!
This new reality doesn’t bode well for the value of the Canadian dollar. As long as the fiat monetary system isn’t rejected outright, which I personally think is unlikely for the next decade even if Joe Biden becomes President, most countries can not afford to pay their public sector bills without printing money and will therefore not want to dump the U.S dollar system, but instead hold onto the U.S dollar in hopes the U.S government defaults on its debt so the rest of the world can follow suit and have a giant reset.
I bring all of this up, because domestically times are about to get very challenging in Canada, now that productivity is down and the printing of money is hiding deflation. I personally think most people are imagining this fiat led, digital money economy all wrong.
There’s going to be a cash flow crisis, that’s what inflating assets with fiat money equates too. One day, the government has to print money to pay the bills, because tax collection isn’t enough anymore and because socialists hate deflation, because it brings into question austerity measures, the market will soon realize that countries like Canada can’t pay their bills and Justin Trudeau can’t tell the poor and middle class that he’s going to raise taxes on them, what’s going to happen most likely is the Canadian dollar domestically buys less and less.
I can’t predict what the Canadian dollar will do on the forex markets, but as an example point of sale terminal, exchange rates will probably start to factor in the risk of not collecting U.S dollars and for this imports coming into Canada, will force domestic prices up in a plethora of different ways, that I quite frankly right now can’t comprehend.
As a Canadian, I personally stopped hoarding Canadian dollars, I’m not sure how long it will take the BoC to comprehend that interest rates are going to have shoot up to allow bankruptcies to take place, but this might never happen, governments and central banks already openly talk about inflation targets, so higher prices might be framed as a good thing, the bad thing happens when Canadians cash flow is out of whack and they genuinely can’t pay their bills or they genuinely lose their standard of living.
This should be obvious to the Conservative Party of Canada and they should cater their political messaging to what’s going to inevitably happen. But I’m not sure the people who run the Conservative Party of Canada are smart enough to meet everyone at the finish line.
They should have already been catering their message to addressing the coming economic crisis by openly talking about CUTTING the size of Government, but I don’t see that happening, I see the current Conservative Party of Canada making the same mistake Brian Mulroney and Stephen Harper made which is conserving Liberal Policies and attempting to be better managers of Leftist created economic disasters.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the Conservatives won and were straddled with all the economic disasters created by Justin Trudeau, it also wouldn’t surprise me if the Conservative Party of Canada raised taxes and created their own carbon tax to appease people who will never vote for them.
The problem with the Conservative Party of Canada is that they’re Conservatives by name only!
