U.S President Donald Trump To Use National security as a justification to impose tariffs on foreign imports  – September 20, 2018

50% content requirement, Understanding the NAFTA Rules of Origin and what the Trump administration is trying to accomplish. Never before have I seen Canada on the wrong side of history as I’m seeing now. I’ve often said that part of being a Leftist is being extremely smart about economics. Pierre Trudeau was smart enough about economics to leave politics right before his socialist policies started to show their flaws. Brian Mulrooney, for the most part, is known as one of Canada’s worst Prime Ministers in history, primarily because of his lack of knowledge about the economy.
Chretien’s Liberals which included Paul Martin and to a degree Stephen Harpers Conservatives, on the other hand, understood economics so although the allowed corporatism and socialism to flourish in Canada, they at least knew what they were doing. Justin Trudeau’s Liberals, on the other hand, remind me of Brian Mulrooney’s Conservatives, only worse, because not only are they limiting the free market, they’re also growing the government and approaching this trade war from a position of moral strength. Watch Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland below

Freeland describes tariffs on Canadian softwood lumber as ‘inappropriate’

What should scare the heck out of Canadians regarding what Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland said is that Mexico made concessions on certain portions of their economy in which the U.S had no plans to be competitive in! In other words: Higher waged jobs aren’t coming to Mexico, what Trump assured with the Mexico deal was there would be no incentive for high paying American jobs to go to Mexico. During Trumps run for the white house, his plan was to stop manufacturing jobs from going to Mexico. However, the Trump administration aren’t fools, this concept by Leftist all over the world that the Trump Administration hasn’t taken a business approach to the running of the U.S economy is the reason why Leftist have no choice but to react emotionally to him.

The Trump administration looked at the numbers, there are certain jobs Americans simply do not want to do. However, there are jobs that American’s are willing to do, like manufacturing for example. The agriculture jobs, Trump has, for the most part, stayed out of Mexican affairs, because U.S farmers have a hard time filling those jobs anyway. This is one of the reasons why Trump has been going on and on about Canadian dairy, it’s because that’s the only portion of the U.S economy where Canada trade wise would be of some benefit. However Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland and Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have made it clear that Supply Management isn’t going anywhere.

This is the reason why the Trump Administration, for the most part, is refusing to budge. Now, this is not to say that they won’t budge. Trump has pretty much proved his point to America voters, that he’s going to stand up for America, the problem that I keep saying over and over again is that the longer this trade war lasts the more they’ll be lobby groups in the U.S that will ask the Democrats to make tariffs part of their platform. This is where the real problem starts if tariffs become a non-partisan issue in the United States the Canadian economy is going to get hit with frequent uncertainty, which will lead to a decline in our manufacturing because of businesses like certainty.

Canada can act like we can easily find new trading partners, however, the reality is something different, ever country wants access to the United States market because the rest of the world is basically protectionist just like Canada is. Canada’s social safety net is currently built on trade with the United States. If you create uncertainty with trade with the United States everything gets turned on its head. The number 1 problem Canada has right now is dwindling manufacturing. Because of the amount of socialism and protectionism already in Canada, the cost of doing business in Canada is extremely expensive. Kathlynne Wynne put the nail in the coffin for Ontario when she introduced the $14 minimum wage. Minimum wages are obviously a tool unions love because it raises the fees their members pay and it also gives them a monopoly on job creation.

So in Canada, most companies simply will not manufacture here, it’s not to say that companies won’t be in Canada, but they’ll only be in Canada to exploit the corporate tax code. Also when you artificially raise the minimum wage you artificially raise the cost of living and as manufacturing jobs are replaced with public sector jobs, cracks start to appear everywhere and if the politician in power isn’t smart enough to recognize the problem, often the Leftist politician in power will mistake inflation for a good thing. If you think inflation is a good thing what you should look at are Trudeau’s deficit spending and GDP numbers. They look pretty good on paper, but its economic hell if you’re middle class or poor.

If you were looking at Canada from a distance the way most investors see Canada, you’d assume everything is on the up and up, however, the truth is Canada is heading for a collapse of epic proportions and quite frankly the results of this NAFTA face off don’t really matter at this point. Too many Canadians have become nationalistic during a time when we’re morally wrong.

If you know anything about what Trump is offering regarding the NAFTA Rules of Origin, you’d know that Canada has been using this tool against the U.S for years now. We’ve just never been called out on it before. Because of the complexity of the NAFTA Rules of Origin, the large government-protected corporations of Canada have done well with the complexity of the NAFTA Rules of Origin, while the small business persons in Canada have suffered. Most small businesses have left or gone bankrupt because of it. They don’t have a voice so people don’t know.

Being that this is right around my wheel house I recommend that anyone interested in Understanding the NAFTA Rules of Origin click the link below:

Understanding the NAFTA Rules of Origin

Despite what’s being propagated all over the Canadian mainstream media, the truth is simple, Canada is a corporatist nation, our social safety net and the current way our economy is structured is heavily reliant on big corporations. This happened primarily because of Jean Chretien and Paul Martin’s Liberals trying to save Pierre Trudeau’s socialist paradise. Universal health care costs money, Canada’s universal health care model is probably one of the worst runs in the world, or social safety net is probably one of the worst run in the world. Our banking system is so monopolized that it screams corporatism. Here’s the kicker the Canadian taxpayer is on the hook for all of this nonsense when it crashes, that’s how it was structured. the problem with over-regulation isn’t it’s creation it’s what happens when your economy crashes beneath it.

Regulations set a bar of excellence, look at regulations the way you’d look at an athlete like LeBron James. When Lebron James is a rookie, when he’s in his Prime all the rich companies make money off of him, but what happens if he gets injured or retires, eventually his stock begins to drop and eventually he becomes yesterday’s news.

Canada’s economy is going to come to a screeching halt, our problems, in my opinion, are now cultural. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of Canadians that know what’s going on, but there are a lot more zombies, that think what I’m writing about is not true at all. The Canadian epic collapse is getting closer and closer and at least now Canada can blame Trump. Maxime Bernier leaving the Conservative Party may have been a blessing in disguise especially if Justin Trudeau manages to win a second term. Why? Because unlike his father this collapse should happen while a Liberal is in power.

Ever since Pierre Trudeau left politics politician after politician have been trying to appease Canadians by preserving his flawed political philosophies. Think about how the Conservatives sound. Think about what Ontario Conservative Premier Doug Ford said confidently, that he stands shoulder to shoulder with Justin Trudeau to defend Supply management, he even heaped praise at Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland. The collapse is near Canada be prepared.

Interesting times ahead.
