The Progressive Era: Michael Gordon claims the GOP is such a danger to American ‘democracy’ and he’s right because Democrat Party “Democracy” is destroying the REPUBLIC – September 26, 2021,
So for the first time in American history, I think ever, the Republican party is defending the “Republic” also known as defending “The Law” which obviously doesn’t sit well with progressives who are cheerleaders for “Democracy” also known as “Majority Rule”. This unusual hardline approach by the Republican Party started with a very loud mouth businessman named Donald Trump, who comprehends that there’s nothing illegal about embellishing the truth, which is a monopoly the Democrats used to enjoy with impunity.
It’s quite common for Left-leaning individuals to point out whenever Donald Trump embellishes the truth, the problem is that the Democrats do it all the time, Joe Biden’s political career is filled with him lying or embellishing the truth, the problem in times past with the Republicans is that they were often apologetic when they embellished the truth or got caught lying, Donald Trump, a former Democrat is using Democrat Party weapons against the Party known for supporting Democrat politicians who said things like “I did not have sexual relations with that woman”
Being a Progressive is changing laws, social engineering society for what “Progressives” image is for the greater good, but because progression in their minds isn’t happening fast enough, most progressives and rightfully so imagine themselves to be perpetual victims of the established laws. This is one of the reasons why Michael Gordon imagines that the Republic Party is more unified than the Democrats, which is 100% false.
The Republicans are unified in upholding the LAW, they’re after all called Republicans and because the modern Democrat Party wants to go around the laws or change existing laws, they’re meeting fierce resistance. As we know democracy has destroyed many a nation because majority rule wants to silence the majority and in the minds of most Progressives they now have more votes than the minority Republicans/Conservatives and they like all Socialists want to silence their opposition.
Socialism doesn’t work well when the populace is aware that they have options outside of the central powers. I think during normal times, Donald Trump would never win an election, but starting with the Obama Administration and its incompetence, there are large segments of American society who are upset that special groups are getting special privileges under U.S law. We see that with the border crisis, lawbreakers are being imagined as virtuous while law enforcement is demonized
Being that Joe Biden is far more incompetent than Barack Obama could ever think about being, this has forced Progressives like Michael Gordon to seek out what he imagines are reasonable claims to explain why he believes the Republicans are united on every issue when that’s clearly not the case. Both Republicans and Democrats have members that follow the beat of their own drum, but when people like Michael Gordon get emotional about something, it clouds their ability to see America for what it really is, “a Republic” that’s under attack.
