Rand Paul Explains Why He Supports U.S President Donald Trump – October 14, 2018,

As I’ve stated in several posts, one of the reasons why I’m not a Libertarian is because I’m pro tariffs. I think every country has a right to protect its economic sovereignty using tariffs because I’m pro tariffs I’m also anti- trilateral and multilateral trade deals. I’m for Bilateral trade deals which are trade deals that involve 2 countries, which in my view prevents dumping and if dumping does happen it’s easier to find those responsible.

I’m anti-income tax and I have an open mind about fiat currency. My position regarding fiat currency is that as long as citizens have the right to purchase Gold, Silver and copper and other metals with their fiat currency I don’t have a problem with fiat currency or a central bank.

Why I bring this up is because in my opinion, Rand Paul should be positioning himself to become the next President of the United States. Now obviously Rand Paul doesn’t bring the same type of energy to the table politically that Donald Trump does, but the best thing about us free market guys is that we’re not afraid to learn from people like Donald Trump who are great salespeople. A large number of Leftists believe there’s nothing to learn from great salespeople, their assumption is that they know it all and a big government is good for society regardless of the costs.

Socialist don’t understand economics, they don’t care to learn it and they’d rather follow the money. If someones economic thinking simply revolves around following the money it’s easy to manipulate them. I’m still amazed at the number of people that don’t understand it’s regulations that stunt economic growth. Regulations harm the economy more than taxes, because business people can prepare to pay taxes and based their costs off of taxes, what kills businesses are the regulations because regulations prevent businesses from doing things, regulations can effectively make a business useless, regulations can actually give a foreign nation an economic advantage over your nation, government enforced regulations can actually change the culture of entire people.

African American’s are actually the recipients of culture changing regulations, the first one being minimum wage which effectively prevented African American’s from undercutting white people from getting hired, the remedy for taking African American bartering rights away were American companies going overseas to places like China. Because of this a large number of African American’s instead turned to selling illegal drugs, which in turn caused a lot of mass incarcerations which of course changed their culture, adding to the disastrous minimum wage policy was the creation of the welfare state under Democratic President Lyndon B Johnson. This welfare state didn’t just hurt African Americans it also hurt White Americans too, as it paved the way for incentivizing divorce and single motherhood.

Simple government creations that now every American view as a God-given right is what fuels part of Donald Trump’s protectionist policies. Several times Donald Trump has talked about protecting 401K’s and other social programs where one group of American’s are forced to pay to take care of another group of Americans because of a Government regulation. This type of thinking, of course, leaves the door open to Leftists who will say why should the government only take care of middle America, let your government take care of all of America and that’s how these problems repeat themselves.

Part of the problem with being a principled politician is that in a Democracy you have to find a way to get people to listen. Economics is a very boring subject, now when you’re actually running your business it’s the most fun thing in the world, but to explain economics to a person who grew up entitled and expectant of luxuries they’re taking for advantage, that’s very hard to do in a few sound bites. This is why my position has always been to create more entrepreneurs, the more business people we have in the economy the bigger the voice will be for the free market.

In Canada, we have so many left-leaning thinkers in the media and on the streets that I find that most Canadian conservatives only vote conservative because they hate Liberals. I’m sorry but that’s not a good reason, you should be voting for the political party that’s going to create the most entrepreneurs because entrepreneurs are going to bring the cost of living down. Trust me when I say that I understand the Libertarian argument, my position against the Libertarians is that most people have a low economic IQ and they have to experience a better quality of life before they’ll be able to understand your viewpoint.

I lot of people do not understand the relationship between economics and social interactions. A lot of people believe that the government can socially engineer people to be nice, giving or productive. In the real world, in a freedom based society, the truth is some people are just lazy, some people are simply rebellious, some people simply end up in situations that can’t be explained and that’s why the free market exists to solve these problems, ow obviously there situations where the government can be of use, but the problem with big government is when they’re not productive or when they promise to solve a problem doesn’t work, their solution doesn’t go bankrupt or shrink like it would in a business, no in a government when they do something that doesn’t work their assumption is that the government should be larger and this is why we have a lot of the economic disasters we have today and a lot of these problems stem from big government.

Anyway, I’m hoping Rand will position himself to run for office in 2024, because as good as Donald Trump is a lot of his policies when all is said and done will leave the door open for the democratic party to capitalize off of and right now the last thing the world needs is a left-leaning American president.
