A Possible Reason why the Alberta, Canada Economy is not Diversified? – November 19, 2019,

Interesting words being exchanged in the interview below and the end conclusion that came to my mind is the possibility that Alberta’s economy isn’t diversified because of equalization payments. Quebec’s economy according to some experts doesn’t require equalization payments to be in the green. I actually think this is a lie, but if it is true, one should ask why is Quebec benefitting from Alberta via equalization payments and why is the Bloc looking to get even more money from Ottawa via equalization payments.

In the interview below, the argument former Liberal Premier of Ontario Kathleen Wynne makes is that Alberta should diversify their economy, I actually used to make the same argument until I did the research. Based on the research it came to my attention that Alberta’s economy seems to revolve around appeasing Ottawa.

Alberta’s economy is run similarly to a small store shop owner who is being extorted by a mob boss. Sure the Alberta could diversify its economy but what’s the point? Where’s the benefit? If Alberta makes more money, Ottawa will take more and this obviously stunts infrastructure development. Because a properly run public sector typically revolves around infrastructure developments, preparing for the future, having the ability to be flexible for the next new innovation. However, if Ottawa is taking and Albertas government anticipates Ottawa will take, the leadership has little incentive to diversify.

I think it’s very mean what’s going on with all of the Leftist Political Partys n Canada. They’re really poking the bear and quite frankly, nobody benefits from people doing this. A real discussion would consist of the Bloc as an example saying we don’t want Pipelines and we don’t want any money from Ottawa or from Alberta, this is constructive, however, what the Bloc is arguing is that they want their cake and eat it too, they want more money from Ottawa and they don’t want any Pipeline, this is not the talk of a sane separatists, this is the talk of a person who is instigating, posturing, poking fun. Now to respond to this Kathlynne Wynne argues that Alberta should take the high road the way Ontario did. This is not a properly constructed argument either, because Ontario can outvote Quebec. Western Canada can’t outvote Ontario, Quebec or Eastern Canada and this poses a threat to the long term economic stability of this nation.

Because in case people aren’t paying attention, the financially solvent portion of Canada tends to live-out West. If Western Canada is starved of its resources, this is net-negative for the country as a whole.

Interesting times ahead!
