Risking your life for a Woke Politician? How Rome fell and why fame, fortune, and fleeting power can cloud your perception of reality – May 30, 2021,
One of the reasons I like writing about Switzerland is because most people don’t know who the Swiss President is. The Swiss president isn’t important, in fact, their president could be chosen at random and serves 1 term. The current President of the Swiss Confederation is Guy Parmelin and nobody in Switzerland cares, because Guy Parmelin has the same power as the other 6 member Federal Council.
Now in this 7 member Federal Council, there could be a hardcore communist as a representative, but again nobody cares, because that one individual has no power over the other 6. In the United States, the woke left currently has a representative as the Vice President.
VP Kamala Harris appears to have strong views about Memorial day in that at least as of May 29 she feels it beneath her to honor and mourn the military personnel who have died in the performance of their military duties while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
As an American that’s her right, but although she was voted in because of the Democrat voter the power she has should make her a representative of all Americans including the Americans she might despise. When members of the military lost their lives serving the country, they didn’t do so in a divisive way. They lost their lives in love for their country and what it represented.
Kamala Harris on Twitter didn’t even bother to explain herself or her position on the day, she just told Americans to have a happy long weekend.
Enjoy the long weekend. pic.twitter.com/ilGOrod4AW

to add insult to injury, Kamala Harris tweeted a picture of herself, which can come across as very arrogant and self-serving. But again this is only a problem because of the amount of power the Federal Government has. Why does America need such a big and powerful federal government anyway?
One of the reasons Rome fell had a lot to do with Woke culture, the government disincentivized the military from risking their lives for the Roman empire, politics took over Rome, you had to be careful what you said, careful what you did, pompous arrogance from the ruling classes became the norm and the elites high off their lot in life didn’t realize how divisive they had become.
Eventually, the Roman army still powerful didn’t see anything worth fighting for and when Rome was attacked, the military surrendered, who and what am I fighting for the military people asked themselves? Power is fleeting especially in Democracy and when you’re the representative of the people, you’d be wise not to offend the people responsible for protecting you.
A lot of people knew about the assassination of JFK long before it happened, but because of JFK’s political positions on issues very important to a lot of people, a lot of people didn’t see JFK’s life as something worth saving the same thing with Abraham Lincoln, you have to remember a lot of people lost their lives fighting for America.
I think having a big federal government is a bad idea, because a lot of the time, the politicians who are angling for votes or popularity, don’t know how divisive they’re being. This world is not perfect and that’s why we try and spread love to everyone, even those we disagree with.
When you take a principled stance as a politician try and remember the people risking their lives for you. These brave people sometimes go into war not knowing what they’re fighting for, to not even acknowledge these people is heartbreaking, but then again maybe the problem is that the Vice President of America is too powerful and too influential.
I do think if America ever falls, any new republic that forms will take into question America’s current democracy, which gives the Federal Government way too much power.
Interesting times ahead!
