In rural Ontario the Liberal government is finished – June 2, 2018
Recently I wrote a piece titled “Why don’t women like Doug Ford? – June 2, 2018” in that piece I wrote about a blatant propaganda piece for the NDP, well in this article written by Mitch Potter whose a Foreign Affairs Writer for the Toronto Star wrote a very vibrant piece detailing one communities dissatisfaction with Kathleen Wynne, in this article the writer gave an overview of what he believed the mood of the 1300 people in a rural community thought about the upcoming provincial elections.
You can read the article here:

The article didn’t come across as bias because the writer gave an overview of the three major parties. The writer didn’t makeup facts and also detailed what could happen and didn’t provide any incentive as to why he wrote the article. My problem with the NDP post was that it was clear by the end of the post that the writer’s main purpose of writing the article revolved around an issue that was important to her.
In the article written by Potter, he points out both the pluses and minuses to a Doug Ford Premiership. He then goes in detail of how the NDP might be out of touch with the rural communities but also explains that these rural communities routing for Doug Ford are in fact still very small and in some instances shrinking, which essentially gives the reader the opportunity to form their own opinions.
Being that Kathleen Wynne has already appeared to make her concession speech the title is reflective of the actual contents of the article. I’ve spoken previously about Trudeau having a good chance of winning the federal election. Personally, I don’t want Trudeau to win but that doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t write about what people like about him. This doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t detail some of the reasons Canadians like big government.
I don’t want to see the mainstream media in Canada becoming biased, it’s a dangerous track to tread and it creates radicals. I don’t radicals on the right nor do I want radicals on the left. Put the information out there and let the people decide. No hit pieces.
Interesting times ahead.
